We’re looking for people who love being part of a diverse, global team – and who get excited about making a real-world impact with data.<h2>The team</h2>Hitachi Vantara is seeking a Full Stack Web Developer to join our product development team.  We are working to upgrade the company’s management platform.  The candidate will primarily focus on the development and maintenance of client-side logic and support systems to enable a responsive, coherent, and pleasant user experience.  The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of UI design principles and be able to bring our wireframes to life single-handedly and as part of an international development team.  This individual will be an integral part of the team and will work closely with product engineering teams, product management, and sales teams to gather requirements.<h2>The role</h2>Key job functions include<ul><li>Backend Architecture &amp; APIs: Design, develop, and maintain clean, scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Go (Golang).</li><li>Frontend Development: Build modular, responsive, and intuitive user interfaces using React.js and modern state management techniques.</li><li>Full-Lifecycle Ownership: Take feature ownership from requirement analysis, system design, and coding to containerization, testing, and deployment.</li><li>System Integrations: Implement background data synchronization routines, device integrations, and platform services.</li><li>Security &amp; Access Control: Integrate enterprise authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2/OIDC, Keycloak, RBAC) across API endpoints and UI modules.</li><li>Quality &amp; Performance: Write clean, unit-tested code; perform code reviews; optimize backend API latencies and frontend render performance.</li><li>Collaboration: Partner closely with cross-functional teams, architects, and QA engineers to deliver robust enterprise release packages.</li></ul>Key skills include<ul><li>Ability to work independently, finding solutions to programming problems with minimal oversight</li><li>Ability to lead a team with diverse technical backgrounds</li><li>Ability to provide technical requirements to the team</li><li>Ability to adapt to changing project requirements</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills</li></ul>What you’ll bringQualifications<ul><li>Experience: 7+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3+ years focused on full-stack web applications and microservices.</li><li>Go (Golang) Mastery: Deep hands-on experience building production-grade services in Go. Strong understanding of Go idioms, goroutines, channel mechanics, and explicit error handling.</li><li>React.js Proficiency: Solid expertise in modern React (Hooks, Context API, state management) and front-end integration with REST APIs.</li><li>Database &amp; APIs: Demonstrated ability in designing SQL schemas (PostgreSQL/MySQL), query optimization, and REST API standards.</li><li>Containerization: Practical experience with Docker (containerizing Go binaries and web assets).</li><li>Engineering Standards: Strong experience with Git workflows, unit testing, and debugging distributed applications.</li></ul>Not required, but a strong plus<ul><li>Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm charts, or enterprise container management (e.g., RKE2).</li><li>Familiarity with enterprise authentication systems (Keycloak, OIDC, OAuth2 Proxy, SAML).</li><li>Prior experience delivering software deployed via OVA packages or in air-gapped enterprise environments.</li><li>Previous experience in Java ecosystem (Spring Boot) is a plus.</li><li>Exposure to system-level integrations (storage, networking, or infrastructure monitoring).</li></ul><h2>About us</h2>We’re a global team of innovators.
