The successful candidate will lead and mentor junior engineers while contributing to software design, development, integration, and technical decision-making.Candidates from Embedded Systems, Automotive, Telecom, SCADA, Industrial Automation, Aerospace, or related industries are encouraged to apply.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain embedded software applications using C/C++.</li><li>Participate in software architecture, design reviews, integration, and testing activities.</li><li>Review technical requirements and contribute to engineering solutions.</li><li>Support software troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.(empty)</li></ul>Leadership Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead and coordinate a team of junior and mid-level software engineers.</li><li>Assign and monitor engineering tasks and deliverables.</li><li>Mentor and coach junior engineers.</li><li>Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards.</li><li>Support onboarding and technical training activities.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing initiatives.</li><li>Act as the technical focal point for stakeholders and off-shore team.</li></ul>Essential Requirements<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.</li><li>Minimum 6 years of software development experience.</li><li>Strong C/C++ programming skills.</li><li>Strong understanding of embedded systems.</li><li>Experience across the software development lifecycle.</li><li>Proven experience leading teams or mentoring engineers.</li><li>Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Fluent English (written and spoken).</li></ul>Desirable Requirements<ul><li>Experience in safety-critical industries.</li><li>Experience with RTOS environments.</li><li>Knowledge of Railway, Aerospace, Automotive, or Industrial Control systems.</li><li>Familiarity with configuration and requirements management tools.</li><li>Knowledge of ETCS/ERTMS railway signalling systems.</li><li>Knowledge of Ada programming.</li><li>Knowledge of DOORS, RTC, or similar tools.</li></ul>Training: Selected candidates will undergo structured training covering ETCS concepts, railway signalling principles, safety standards, engineering processes, and project-specific technologies.Thank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
