And that’s where you come in.Job Description:Job Summary:<h2>We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Site Manager to oversee and manage all on-site activities for Hitachi Rail projects in Romania, specifically for the Craiova and Caransebes projects.</h2>This role involves ensuring the successful execution of projects according to specifications, timelines, and budget, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Job Responsibilities: * Lead, manage, and supervise all on-site personnel and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. * Plan, organize, and direct daily site operations, including resource allocation, scheduling, and progress monitoring. * Ensure strict adherence to project plans, engineering specifications, quality control procedures, and all relevant health and safety regulations. * Manage project budgets, track expenses, and report on financial performance, identifying and mitigating potential cost overruns. * Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies on-site. * Prepare and submit regular progress reports, daily logs, and other required documentation. * Identify and resolve site-related issues, challenges, and conflicts promptly and effectively. * Implement and enforce Hitachi Rail's safety protocols and environmental policies. * Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement. * Manage the procurement and delivery of materials, plant, and equipment to site. Job Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. * Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in site management within the rail or large-scale infrastructure industry. * Strong understanding of railway systems, construction methods, and project management principles. * Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams effectively. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. * Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. * In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to construction. * Fluent in Romanian and English, both written and spoken. * Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites within Romania as required. * Proven problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.Thank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
