Engineering Project Manager- Engineering Delivery

We want you to have a sense of belonging and feel valued for your contributions and the perspectives you bring. Summary:  The Engineering Project Manager – Engineering Delivery coordinates engineering efforts with the RES engineering team and/or third-party engineering that provides designs of utility scale wind/solar/BESS power plants and associated transmission/distribution systemsRequirements:    <ul><li> Identifies scope, develops schedules, and coordinates the engineering and design activities for: <ul><li> Early-stage development projects. </li><li> Major bid/Request for Proposal (RFP) opportunities.</li><li> Engineer, Procure, Construct (EPC) construction projects. </li></ul></li><li> Establishes, communicates, and manages project engineering budget, schedule and scope expectations. </li><li> Creates and maintains Request for Information (RFI) register with the document control system (Procore). </li><li> Performs review of designs provided by Engineer of Record for compliance to technical specifications/requirements/scope of work.</li><li> Identifies and scopes an engineering peer review of Engineer of Record design(s) with the RES engineering team (EPC and Balance of Plant (BOP)/bid-build). </li><li> Seeks continuous improvement opportunities for value engineering and efficiencies in design. </li><li> Identifies and quantifies potential risks, contract clarifications, and exclusions. </li><li> Facilitates handovers to project teams when projects are won or transition to late-stage development Design engineering/construction phase. </li><li> Coordinates and hosts engineering kick off meetings (client and internal). </li><li> Identifies and coordinates with outside engineers for services on projects.</li><li> Works with Assistant Engineering Project Managers (AEPMs) on assigned projects (EPC, bid-build, development, major bids) to build their skillsets and abilities including:<ul><li> Provides tasks and assignments that challenge and stretch AEPMs responsibilities.</li><li> Provides guidance to AEPMs to build confidence and allow AEPMs to learn through project management activities.</li></ul></li><li> Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.</li><li> Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies &amp; Procedures.</li></ul> Additional Responsibilities:<ul><li> Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.</li><li> Coordinates and host engineering kick off meetings (client and internal). </li><li> Assists Project Manager in establishing Job codes / Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Project creation wizard (create folder structure and work order) for design/construction phase. </li><li> Assists construction project coordinator to set-up document control system (Procore). </li><li> Manages technical documentation, drawings, specifications, submittals, and transmittals within the document control system (Procore). </li><li> Maintains upkeep of design change log for periodic distribution to the Project Manager. </li><li> Sets up and coordinates technical design review meetings. </li><li> Sets up and coordinates Safety Thru Design review meetings. </li><li> Schedules and supports organizing site visits for Engineering. </li><li> Assists Procurement with coordination of product and shop drawings submittals to the Engineer of Record for approval and client acceptance.</li></ul> Qualifications: <ul><li> Bachelor's degree or equivalent in construction management, civil engineering, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering required.</li><li> Master's degree in Project Management preferred.</li><li> 5 or more cumulative years of engineering experience with relevant wind/solar experience required. </li><li> Ability to travel 5 to 15% required.</li><li> Advanced knowledge in: </li><li> Wind/Solar/BESS Power Plant Design </li><li> Wind/Solar/BESS Power Plant Performance Analysis</li><li> Substation/Transmission and Distribution System Design and Operation </li><li> Communication, internally and externally </li><li> General Civil, Structural, Electrical, SCADA, and Mechanical Design </li><li> General Design for Constructability </li><li> Familiarity with Industry Standards </li><li> Personnel Management </li><li> Client Management </li><li> Organization </li><li> MS Office (Project; Excel including charts, graphs, bars, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, COUNTIF, SUMIF, filtering information, VBA and Macros, statistical modeling, forecasting and prediction, advanced formulas; PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.) </li><li> Intermediate level of knowledge in: </li><li> Project Scheduling Tools </li><li> Fundamental understanding of AutoCAD</li><li> Functional competencies include building strategic partnerships, attention to detail, communication, collaboration, and customer focus.</li></ul> Anticipated base salary range:  $121,000 - $151,000 The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
