You’ll lead the technical development, engineering evaluation, and pre-contracts activities for Aggreko's IPP Solutions portfolio across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.Power without pause. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.               What you’ll do as Team Lead – Pre Contracts Engineering: <ul><li>Provide leadership to the pre-contracts engineering function and be accountable for developing technically robust, commercially competitive, and deliverable solutions for renewable energy, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), thermal generation, hybrid energy, and grid-connected power projects.</li><li>Opportunity assessment, project development, bid support, technical due diligence, cost estimation, risk management, and customer engagement.</li><li>Work closely with Business Development, Commercial, Legal, Engineering, Project Delivery, Operations, and Asset Management teams, the Team Lead ensures opportunities are effectively evaluated, risks are understood, and proposals are aligned with Aggreko's technical, financial, and strategic objectives.</li><li>Act as technical lead throughout the pursuit phase, establishing solution strategies, managing technical inputs, leading customer-facing engineering discussions, and supporting project negotiations through to contract award and handover.</li><li>Provide engineering guidance throughout development, project commissioning, and operations.</li><li>Lead development of microgrid and grid connection strategies for prospective projects.</li><li>Review network requirements, compliance obligations, and technical constraints.</li><li>Manage power system consultants and specialist studies.</li><li>Support engagement with AEMO, TNSPs, DNSPs, NSPs, consultants, and regulatory stakeholders.</li><li>Provide technical oversight of Generator Performance Standards (GPS) development and compliance strategies.</li><li>Assess project risks associated with system strength, network access, grid compliance, and network performance requirements.</li></ul>You are / have:<ul><li>A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, ideally holding a CPEng and/or post graduate qualification.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership of complex bid pursuits.</li><li>Minimum of approx. 10 years' experience in power generation, renewable energy, utilities, transmission, or major infrastructure projects.</li><li>Extensive experience with renewable energy and/or Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.</li><li>Ideally also have experience across solar PV, thermal generation, wind, and hybrid power systems.</li><li>Significant experience in project development, pre-contracts, bid management, owner's engineering, EPC, IPP, or developer environments.</li><li>Strong understanding of grid connection modelling</li><li>Technical understanding of grid connection processes, power systems, and electrical infrastructure</li><li>Experience developing project cost estimates, technical proposals, and investment-grade project concepts.</li><li>Strong commercial acumen and understanding of project finance drivers.</li></ul>Here’s what you’ll get:<ul><li>Opportunity to be a part of the delivery of a land mark Renewable Power Projects</li><li>Hybrid work arrangements</li><li>Competitive compensation</li><li>Paid training programs and tuition reimbursement</li><li>Safety-focused culture</li><li>Community volunteering program</li><li>A range of career development opportunities</li></ul>Our people are can-do, positive, resilient and persistent.
