A successful Electronics Quality Technician II will work with Internal manufacturing and engineering teams to provide the inspections and data needed to support their programs and occasionally work with External suppliers to communicate quality issues, by inspecting Harnessing and Circuit boards to IPC 620, and 610 Standards, then verifying corrective actions have been implemented.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS &amp; SKILLS:Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to all the following:<ul><li>Independently perform incoming, in-process, and end of line inspections as required</li><li>Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, specifications, and other controlled documentation</li><li>Identify and document issues</li><li>Independently perform verifications, and document results in a clear, precise, and complete manner</li><li>Work and interface with engineering, and production to resolve nonconforming material issues</li><li>Examine incoming parts and documentation to confirm correct specifications and established standards are met</li><li>Communicate in a professional manner, both verbally and written</li><li>Proficient with Windows based computers and MS software such as Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word</li><li>Able to perform in a dynamic and fast paced environment</li></ul>EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:<ul><li>Minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalent required, associate degree is beneficial</li><li>3+ years of work experience in a defense or aerospace manufacturing environment in electronics quality/inspection or as a mid to senior harness assembler</li><li>Experience or understanding in high voltage cabling and components</li><li>Wire harness experience in accordance with IPC-620 standard is desired</li><li>Experience inspecting solder, crimping, conformal coating, staking, and surface mounted devices accordance with IPC-A-610 standard is desired</li><li>Experience with performing electronic testing and inspection using portable measuring devices</li><li>Experience using Cirris cable testing system (or similar)</li><li>Solid foundational knowledge of electrical systems and manufacturing processes</li><li>Knowledge of the control of nonconforming hardware, failure/root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action processes</li><li>Ability to read engineering drawings</li></ul>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:<ul><li>Position requires occasional moderate physical activity</li><li>Moving and maneuvering heavy objects may be required at times</li></ul>EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: <ul><li>7:30 AM start time, Monday-Friday</li><li>40-hour standard work week with overtime paid as worked when required</li><li>Must be flexible with schedule to accommodate fixed deadlines, sometimes working longer hours, Saturdays, and/or Sundays</li></ul>WORK ENVIRONMENT: <ul><li>Combination of electronics lab and manufacturing areas</li><li>Travel may be required between facilities</li><li>Stress may occur periodically</li></ul>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, the ideal candidate must possess but not be limited to all the following:<ul><li>Being a team player</li><li>Self-motivated with the ability to manage own workload to meet deadlines</li><li>Be reliable (with reliable mode of transportation)</li><li>Have great attention to detail</li><li>Strong work ethic and pride in their work</li></ul>Oshkosh is committed to working with and offering reasonable accommodations to job applicants with disabilities.
