Save in CAD and PDF form.</li><li>Log all Mass highway jobs on the network drive. Review scope of project and added gas utilities if needed and returned to DOT to be updated.</li><li>Provide requested gas utility information to Mass DOT, surveying firms, engineering companies, city and town engineering departments and contractors.</li><li>Provide drafting needs for all of Engineering, Marketing, IT, Distribution Dept., Production Dept., Energy Dept., construction and management.</li><li>Design Services - responsible for work order estimates in SAP for marketing.</li><li>Service to construct - responsible for work order estimate in SAP, CAD drawing &amp; dig-safe.</li><li>Customer charge projects include site visits and accompanying CAD drawing, dig-safe and permits and create a business partner in SAP and a DB80 C1AC quote in SAP.</li><li>Maintain plotter(s), order materials (example: plotter paper, toner and service) when needed.</li><li>Create variant reports.</li><li>Assist in training new engineering employees in putting a project together in CAD and the use of the Berkshire Gas Company standards.</li><li>Maintain standard CAD library for engineering use. Create standard connections &amp; title blocks.</li><li>Post as-built main construction and service drawings for records department as needed.</li><li>Create new DigSafe tickets for work orders.</li><li>Pre-marking the project for DigSafe.</li></ul>Required Qualifications <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering or engineering technology with 2 or more years of technical experience in gas engineering and/or related fields.</li><li>Associate’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering or engineering technology with 4 or more years of technical experience in gas engineering and/or related fields.</li><li>Technical High School diploma in a related technical field with 6 or more years of technical experience in engineering and/or related fields.</li><li>Formal training in AutoCAD is required with 1 to 2 years of experience.</li><li>Strong knowledge and understanding of blueprints, as-builts, mapping is required.</li><li>Ability to work independently and have problem solving skills.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.</li><li>Possess the ability to effectively and accurately organize large quantities of critical information.</li><li>SAP experience is preferred.
