Processes include thermal, vibration, mechanical shock, thermal shock and custom testing equipment. Requires some troubleshooting skills.What you’ll do<ul><li>Investigates process and manufacturing problems during testing and initiates corrective actions;</li><li>Determines proper test set-ups, tests, troubleshoots, and notifies appropriate personnel when problems arise as necessary;</li><li>Prepares graphs, charts and tabulations of testing data, maintains testing data and analyzes data under guidance of an engineer;</li><li>Performs routine analyses to check applicability, accuracy and completeness of data;</li><li>Calibrates, adjusts, operates and maintains environmental test equipment as required;</li><li>Assist in designing a variety of tools, jigs and fixtures that will assist in increasing production efficiency;</li><li>Handles multiple projects, performs any and all required coordination as applied to testing with other operations to ensure that schedules are met;</li><li>Performs other related duties of comparable complexity as directed.</li></ul>What You Need:<ul><li>Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and specialized training beyond high school usually acquired with six to twenty-four (6-24) months of industrial experience;</li><li>Strong mechanical skills and experience using hand tools;</li><li>Must be able to read assembly prints and follow written instructions;</li><li>Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance;</li><li>Must be hands-on and have critical thinking skills and be able to solve problems;</li><li>Strong mechanical skills and experience in setup, repair and maintenance of equipment;</li><li>Applying lean manufacturing principles and/or Six Sigma tools in a manufacturing setting (an asset);</li><li>Effectively communicates with and engages all levels of the organization verbally and in writing;</li><li>Possess intermediate computer skills including MS office excel and outlook;</li><li>Please note that due to the requirements from the Department of Energy, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.</li><li>Some bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, mild lifting of 10 pounds or less.</li><li>Some assemblers are required to intermittently lift up to 50 pounds.</li></ul>What we offer<ul><li>Competitive pay and comprehensive health benefits</li><li>401(k) with company match and retirement plans</li><li>Paid time off and flexible work arrangements</li><li>Training and development opportunities</li><li>Employee wellness programs and assistance resources</li><li>A collaborative environment working on mission-critical technology</li></ul>What happens nextApply online through Teledyne’s careers page.
