Weigh, measure and check raw materials to ensure that batches manufactured contain proper ingredients in proper quantities. Maintain inventory records of raw materials used in batch manufacturing. Keep accurate and up-to-date batch records and data sheets on batches in process. Perform in-process tests (such as hardness, weight, variation, pH and moisture content) to ensure that batches meet specifications. Recognize equipment and product problems, notify supervisor and/or troubleshoot errors in order to achieve optimum production levels. Must be able to follow written Standard Operating Procedures and verbal instructions in order to fabricate, inspect, and package chemical-based products. Good organizational skills and relevant computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office) are required for maintaining production records.
