Our goal is to enable our employees to achieve their fullest potential, and through our association with Re:Build, provide avenues for personal and professional growth.</p><h2>Who we are looking for</h2><p>An Engineering Technician is a specialized professional who applies principles of engineering, physics, mathematics, ergonomics, safety, quality control, technical writing, and maintenance to develop, optimize, and maintain systems and processes within a multitude of operational processes. As problem-solvers and innovators, Engineering Technicians continuously seek improvements in process performance, driving advancements in technology and contributing significantly to the operational excellence of an organization.  </p><h2>What you'll get to do</h2><p>Work closely with Product and Production Engineering to perform the following activities:</p><ul><li>Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement through analysis of production metrics such as productivity, first pass yield, interruptions, and scrap rates;</li><li>Ensure manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety/quality standards and regulations;</li><li>Ensure the maintainability of new installations by implementing an effective predictive and preventative program;</li><li>Ensure workplace safety with heavy focus on operator ergonomics;</li><li>Improve workstation layout, workflow, and assembly methods;</li><li>Support product/process validation and verification testing and report generation;</li><li>Write, update, and approve production processes and procedures;</li><li>Assist with research, purchases, and/or implementations of new equipment, processes, procedures, and systems;</li><li>Respond urgently to line stoppages and mitigate down time.</li></ul><p>Work closely with Design Engineering to perform the following activities:</p><ul><li>Conduct customer, product, technical and regulatory research;</li><li>Develop conceptual designs utilizing 3D CAD software;</li><li>Conduct Risk Management activities ensuring product safety;</li><li>Prototype and test engineering solutions;</li><li>Optimize design for manufacturing, inspection, and service as applicable.</li><li>Execute Product Verification &amp; Validation efforts to include writing test reports and conducting tests.</li><li>Implement corrective action to solve design challenges or issues. This may include changing design features, selecting a different manufacturing method or a complete redesign of the component.</li></ul><p>Other Responsibilities as directed:</p><ul><li>Able to evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements.</li><li>Assist in internal audits.</li><li>Assist in evaluation and corrective action for returns and customer complaints.</li><li>Building/facility maintenance.</li><li>Capable of conducting FMECA.</li><li>Leadership, teamwork, problem solving, and information technology skills.</li><li>Proficient communication skills.</li><li>Knowledge of production equipment for purchase, installation, and repair.</li><li>Engineering Technicians are members of the Production Integration Group and required to participate in team activities.</li></ul><h2>What you bring to the team</h2><ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 1 year hands on practical engineering experience.
