An Engineer II effectively applies fundamental concepts and procedures to work that is fairly complex and varied.</p><p></p><h2><b>Responsibilities </b></h2><p></p><ul><li>Serving as the site subject matter expert for the assigned electrical/controls systems.</li><li>Monitoring and trending system/component performance.</li><li>Interfacing with external vendors to ensure technical issues are properly resolved.</li><li>Directing onsite testing and troubleshooting activities for emergent issues.</li><li>Coordinating cross functionally with other departments (such as Design Engineering, Transmission, Maintenance &amp; Operations) to ensure system concerns, schedules, budgeting, and related issues are properly addressed.</li><li>Ensuring regulatory compliance is maintained</li><li>Evaluates Fleet Operating Experience and industry learnings to improve Equipment Reliability.</li><li>Evaluating preventative maintenance (PM) program performance and recommending performance-based adjustments.</li><li>Responsible for maintaining the configuration of station and turbine-specific Distributed Control System (DCS), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), and programmable logic controllers (PLC) process control systems to ensure safe, reliable, and regulatory compliant operation of power stations</li><li>Develop the scope, technical basis, installation and testing requirements for engineering design changes, which include but are not limited to AC power systems, DC power systems, Large AC motors, Transformers, Switchgear, Motor Control Centers, Voltage Regulators, Breakers, etc.</li><li>Manage any external control system vendor support as a single point of contact (SPOC)</li><li>Interface with operations &amp; maintenance, assisting with any other electrical/control system challenges and needs</li><li>Coordinate with cyber security specialists for scheduling and implementing necessary patching as well as database management</li><li>Manage the control/electrical system vendor contracts, including on-call support, maintenance, and parts agreements</li><li>Maintain plant risk grid for system/equipment responsibilities</li><li>Proficient in practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations and preparing and presenting recommendations.</li></ul><p></p><h2><b>B</b><b>asic/ Required Qualifications</b></h2><p>Note: This posting is for one open position.
