Based at our headquarters in Asbury Park, NJ, this hybrid role offers the opportunity to build your career with a leading company in the renewable energy sector.</p><p>We're looking for an energetic and organized accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of their portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of financial principles and a proactive mindset. In this role, you'll be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, analysis, audit preparation, and ensuring compliance with financial standards and regulations.</p></div><br><br><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><div><li>Prepare and enter month end and other required journal entries.</li><li>Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.</li><li>Review and reconcile monthly transactions and balances and prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements.</li><li>Prepare standard and ad hoc financial analyses and reports.</li><li>Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and compliance with internal policies.</li><li>Reconcile bank accounts daily</li><li>Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Solar Landscape’s accounting systems, programs, and procedures.</li><li>Support external audit processes, including preparing work papers and reports.</li><li>Contribute on special projects as assigned. </li></div></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><div><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year college or university required</li><li>1+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally with exposure to real estate or solar energy project fund accounting.</li><li>Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to be a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.</li><li>Possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to effectively collaborate with other business functions.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.</li><li>Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
