Established in 2006, we have delivered over 2,000 MW of capacity for our clients worldwide. In 2025, we were named Data Centre Consultancy of the Year by Data Centre Review and were ranked in the top 10 by Data Centre Magazine in 2023.<h2>The Role</h2>This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and client-focused mechanical engineer to join our Critical Systems team and play a leading role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative mechanical design solutions for some of the most exciting and high-profile projects in the data centre and critical systems fields, both in the UK and internationally. The role will include leading and supporting mechanical engineers in the delivery of designs, while managing fees, programmes and design quality. You will communicate clearly with project teams, clients and other disciplines, and remain actively involved in the design process, producing deliverables where required. You will help maintain and build strong client relationships, supporting repeat business through trusted delivery, clear communication and a strong understanding of client needs. You will also contribute to work-winning activity, helping to identify opportunities and support proposals where appropriate. You will play an important role in nurturing and developing junior engineers, helping them grow in confidence, capability and technical judgement. At the same time, you will work closely with senior engineers and the senior management team, contributing to the wider leadership and development of the team.<h2>The Skills</h2>You will be a Chartered Engineer, educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (MEng, BEng or equivalent), with experience in a mechanical engineering role within a data centre, critical systems or building services context. Given the client-facing nature of this role, you must also have proven experience of client engagement. You will have experience in the data centre field, including a strong understanding of the principles of data centre design and delivery across a range of projects.
