This role is responsible for developing and refining effective Project Management processes, sound project controls and governance, comprehensive reporting processes, identification of portfolio issues and risks, as well as responsible for Request for Proposal (RFP) response preparation and resource assignment. This role also works closely with functional managers to forecast project workload and impacts on resources. Skills for this position require a strong working knowledge in business management, finance, planning, forecasting, and personnel in order to manage a team of PMO Analysts. Besides the knowledge of best practices and industry standard Project Management (PM) processes to initialize, plan, execute, control, and monitor a project, this position uses skills and leadership competencies for process improvement, team building, negotiations, decision making, problem solving, and conflict management.
