As part of this team you will help in the integration of flight critical components and sub-systems for conventional aircraft. We are looking to expand this team with like-minded individuals, looking to make a mark in the transportation industry.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Implement key ideas and process improvements that drive company growth</li> <li>Enjoys creative problem-solving</li> <li>Passion for mastering new technologies</li> <li>Work closely with engineering to build electrical assemblies and integrate hardware installations in support of rapid aircraft development.</li> <li>Prepare aircraft electrical and wire harness subassembly kits</li> <li>Manufacture complex wire harnesses and custom electrical assemblies</li> <li>Maintain accurate historical data and record-keeping for aircraft health and repairs.</li> <li>Perform systems checkout and debugging, as to bring sub-systems to an operational status, while strictly adhering to best practices and proper documentation.</li> <li>Ensure parts availability for repairs and maintain an organized electrical shop</li> <li>Collaborate with the maintenance team to secure repair slots and optimize repair time.</li> <li>Support aircraft mechanics during in-aircraft wire harness installation</li></ul><h2>Required</h2><ul> <li>5 years of experience in harness fabrication or related electronics manufacturing</li> <li>Strong work ethic</li> <li>Team oriented attitude</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving techniques and analytical ability</li> <li>Familiarity with serial and differential communication protocols</li> <li>Familiarity with standards IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, AS50881</li> <li>Experience using word processing and spreadsheet applications</li> <li>Proficiency with soldering of electronics, wiring harness manufacture, and overall electrical craftsmanship</li></ul><h2>Desired</h2><ul> <li>Experience with component assembly and systems integration of aircraft flight hardware</li> <li>Experience with wiring and interface with DAQs (data acquisition modules)</li> <li>Experience with installing sensors (strain gauges, accelerometers, thermistors)</li> <li>Experience with computer networks and linux computers</li> <li>Associates, technical degree or Airframe and Powerplant (A&amp;P) rating</li></ul><h2>Additional Information</h2><p><strong>Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $39-$47/hr.
