Renewable Energy/BESS SpecialistLocation: Ramboll Poland, Kraków About the RoleWe are looking for a specialist to support the delivery of renewable energy and power infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will participate in Battery Energy Storage System projects and hybrid projects combining BESS with photovoltaic and wind power installations. The role combines technical work, collaboration with clients and designers, and client-side support during the construction phase. The successful candidate will receive support from Ramboll specialists and will have the opportunity to gradually take responsibility for selected project workstreams. Key ResponsibilitiesDelivery of Owner’s Engineer services, Technical Due Diligence and technical advisory assignments for renewable energy investors, including:<ul><li>Providing technical support for BESS and hybrid projects incorporating PV and wind power installations.</li><li>Supporting the development of grid connection concepts for renewable energy projects.</li><li>Reviewing grid connection conditions, technical requirements and documentation issued by grid operators.</li><li>Working on MV, HV and EHV infrastructure projects, including substations and cable lines.</li><li>Reviewing design documentation, single-line diagrams, technical specifications and contractors’ proposals.</li><li>Participating in site visits, technical inspections, acceptance procedures, FAT and SAT</li><li>Monitoring the compliance of construction works with design documentation, client requirements and applicable standards.</li><li>Cooperating with investors, designers, contractors, equipment suppliers DSOs and the TSO.</li><li>Identifying technical and grid connection risks and preparing recommendations for the project team.</li><li>Preparing reports, technical schedules, summaries and other project documentation in Polish and/or English.</li></ul> Requirements<ul><li>A university degree in a relevant technical discipline, preferably Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Energy Engineering or a related field.</li><li>At least three years of experience in power infrastructure or energy projects.</li><li>Basic knowledge of the grid connection process for power generation and energy storage facilities, including cooperation with power system operators.</li><li>Experience in the renewable energy sector, for example in PV, wind power or BESS projects.</li><li>Knowledge of MV, HV and/or EHV electrical installations and infrastructure.</li><li>Strong organisational skills, ability to work independently and effective cooperation within multidisciplinary teams.</li><li>Working proficiency in English, enabling the candidate to work with technical documentation and participate in project meetings.</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications and Experience<ul><li>Construction site experience involving supervision, inspections, acceptance procedures, commissioning or the delivery of power infrastructure.</li><li>Knowledge of the process for obtaining grid connection conditions and implementing grid connection agreements.</li><li>Experience working with PSE or DSOs</li><li>Experience in the delivery of Owner’s Engineer, Technical Due Diligence or technical advisory assignments.</li><li>Experience in project management, schedule management and work coordination.</li><li>Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory or similar engineering tools.</li></ul> What We Offer<ul><li>Technical guidance and mentoring from Ramboll’s senior specialists and experts.</li><li>Participation in major PV, BESS, wind power and infrastructure projects.</li><li>Exposure to the entire project lifecycle, from development through construction and commissioning.</li><li>Work within international, multidisciplinary project teams.</li><li>A gradual increase in project ownership, autonomy and responsibility.</li><li>Career development opportunities towards a technical expert, Grid Connection Specialist or Project Manager role.</li><li>Opportunities to participate in industry training and obtain additional professional qualifications.</li></ul>  Work at the heart of sustainable changeRamboll is a global architecture, engineering, and consultancy company.
