The position is based Brisbane, Australia.You will be accountable for documenting and communicating solutions to existing and new Rail clients as part of a greater development team. You will also elicit requirements from clients for feedback to R&amp;D and propose possible novel integrations of our solutions within existing client infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Understand stakeholders' business process</li><li>Capture stakeholders' needs accurately</li><li>Transform business requirements into technical requirements</li><li>Document system and software requirements</li><li>Understand different levels of integration</li><li>Understand the challenges of maintaining a consistent global state</li><li>Describe different types of integration patterns</li><li>Identify and avoid some of the pitfalls of integrating legacy systems</li></ul>Key Requirements:Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline.</li><li>Relevant rail industry certifications (highly desirable).</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Demonstrated experience in railway signalling systems, particularly Operational systems.</li><li>Experience with ETCS, CBTC, or similar train control systems.</li><li>Experience in system integration, testing, and commissioning.</li><li>Experience with complex systems and especially software intensive complex systems.</li></ul>Technical Skills<ul><li>Strong understanding of signalling principles and train control systems.</li><li>Knowledge of railway safety standards and lifecycle processes.</li><li>Experience with system integration activities (lab integration set to work, V&amp;V).</li><li>Experience with software development and design tools.</li></ul>Soft Skills<ul><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.</li><li>Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and fast-paced project environment.</li><li>High attention to detail and commitment to safety.</li><li>Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when required.</li></ul>At Hitachi Rail, we know that a diverse business is a sustainable business.
