<div><p>Zoox is seeking a Staff Electrical Architecture System Engineer to join our Electrical Architecture team. Led by the Principal Architect, The Zoox Electrical Architecture Team is responsible for developing the power distribution, network topology and logical organization of ECUs to create the optimal autonomous robotaxi. In this role you will help develop electrical and electronic system architecture designs, best practices, and validation procedures for Zoox's ground-up autonomous vehicles. You will work with engineering leaders from various domains to capture their needs for low-voltage loads, system management and integrate these designs into the robotaxi. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential, as you'll work with vehicle integration, firmware, and vehicle component development teams to deliver solutions.</p><p>We are looking for an engineer that is passionate about developing a ground breaking Robotaxi, has a strong system engineering background, has extensive experience in vehicle network, power distribution, power modes and ECU function distribution. Strong system problem-solving skills, organizational talent and a commitment to deliver on time are also required.</p></div><br><br><h3>In this role, you will:</h3><ul><li>Own the low-voltage power distribution system requirements</li><li>Own the vehicle communication architecture requirements</li><li>Own the power modes and power states requirements</li><li>Work with other system engineers and component owners in defining an architecture that supports their needs</li><li>Participate in tech reviews to evaluate potential suppliers and ensure proper application of Zoox hardware standards</li><li>Execute component performance analysis to maintain the total low-voltage system power needs</li><li>Develop verification strategy and provide guidance to the test team in execution of test plan</li><li>Root cause analysis and impact assessment for field issues in power distribution and network area. </li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>BS or MS in electrical engineering, or equivalent experience</li><li>15 years of industry engineering experience</li><li>At least 10 years of experience in vehicle electrical architectures, ECU HW base definitions, and vehicle power states functionality</li><li>At least 3 years of experience in model based system engineering tools</li><li>Able to gather and organize information in an efficient and effective manner</li><li>Understanding of the Firmware development process for automotive ECUs</li><li>Experience in development of wake and sleep functions for automotive ECUs </li></ul><h3>Bonus Qualifications</h3><ul><li>FW development and verification methodology</li><li>Proficient in ISO 26262 and its architectural enablers</li><li>Experience in LIN, CAN FD, automotive ethernet,</li><li>Experience with electronic fusing</li><li>Experience with wiring harness design and reliability</li><li>Experience with manufacturing requirements </li></ul><br><div><b>About Zoox</b></div><div>Zoox is developing the first ground-up, fully autonomous vehicle fleet and the supporting ecosystem required to bring this technology to market.
