You'll play a critical role in scaling the RHB (Rondo Heat Battery), building the sourcing and supply relationships that turn a breakthrough technology into a global deployment.  What You Will Do (key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to):<ul><li>Establish appropriate sourcing strategy with relevant partners to drive business goals and strategy </li><li>Effectively capture and articulate internal requirements to align with business needs </li><li>Communicate proactively with vendors and manage supplier relationships to ensure alignment with Rondo Energy’s business objectives and cost targets </li><li>Negotiate contracts and costs with vendors to ensure optimal terms and capacity </li><li>Manage and guide business stakeholders through the sourcing process and supplier selection </li><li>Manage contracting activities and ensure contracts reflect appropriate business and legal terms </li><li>Work cross-functionally with different teams, including Engineering, Legal and Finance </li><li>Create cost reduction roadmaps for critical components and next generation products </li></ul> What You Will Bring:<ul><li>Experience with industrial equipment procurement including FAT/SAT, commissioning milestones  </li><li>Familiarity with EPC/EPCM project structures and how Capex procurement interfaces with project delivery milestones </li><li>Experience with industrial equipment commercial frameworks including Milestone based payment terms, and EPA (Equipment Purchase Agreements), </li><li>Ability to read and interpret P&amp;IDs, PFDs, equipment datasheets, and vendor technical submittals </li><li>Experience managing long lead equipment procurement such as boilers and other heat transfer equipment. </li></ul> What You Will Bring: <ul><li>Proven negotiation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills </li><li>Customer service skills with experience working in a cross-functional team environment </li><li>A high degree of integrity </li><li>Ability to analyze and resolve the variety of issues simultaneously </li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience with Strategic Sourcing </li><li>Ability to work with a high volume of transactions in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Proficiency in G-suite, MS Word, Excel</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. </li><li>Problem solving/analytical skills with attention to detail</li><li>Great communication and project management skills</li></ul> What We Offer:<ul><li>Comprehensive Medical Benefits</li><li>Dental &amp; Vision Benefits</li><li>Life Insurance and ADD</li><li>Up to 13 paid holidays per year, in addition to a company week-long holiday in December</li><li>Flexible time off policy</li><li>Catered lunches on-site</li><li>401(k) plan with company match</li><li>Rondo HQ is close to Oakland airport - one block from the Bay - and has stunning Bay views!</li></ul>This role is hybrid, and necessitates being on-site at our Alameda HQ 2-3 days per week. The estimated annual salary range for this role is $185,000 to $220,000 and it would be eligible for Rondo's excellent benefits listed above plus additional compensation in the form of equity.
