Are you ready to change the world with us?</div>ABOUT THE ROLEThe Development Manager oversees day to day project execution including all permitting and environmental filings, supervision of project development timelines, and management of a variety of internal and external stakeholders.WHAT YOU'LL DO<ul><li>Responsible for the development of utility scale solar assets; including coordinating a team of professionals, both internal and external, in various company functional areas during the development phase (real estate, environmental and permitting).</li><li>Provide technical, economic and risk analysis of solar development assets and potential project acquisitions.</li><li>Interact with local zoning and permitting boards, taxing jurisdictions as well as state and federal permitting agencies.</li><li>Relationship management of key stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle; including landowners, permitting agencies, and regulatory authorities.  </li><li>Provide project development feedback to Business Development team to assist in responding to RFPs.</li><li>Extract and manage all mitigation measures obtained from key permitting and environmental documents.</li><li>Collaborate with individual department, as well as cross-functionally with other departments within the organization.</li><li>Maintain organizational excellence in terms of project timelines and deliverables.</li><li>Demonstrates the Clēnera Core Values of Caring, Committed, and Courageous.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, business, finance, economics, or related field.</li><li>Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in renewables, environmental, permitting, real estate development, or related industry.</li><li>Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and an ability to learn company-specific software programs, tools, processes, and machines.</li><li>Skills/Attributes:<ul><li>Ability to effectively lead early-stage development projects.</li><li>Ability to translate, interpret, and make key decisions based on complex development contracts.</li><li>Functional knowledge of power markets and interconnection processes.</li><li>Foundational contract negotiation skills and best practices.</li><li>Basic skill in persuading and influencing others.</li></ul></li><li>Travel: Up to 30%</li></ul>BENEFITS<ul><li>Clēnera pays 100% of employee and dependent premiums for a suite of medical, dental, and vision coverages.</li><li>Hybrid Work Environment</li><li>HSA and FSA Plans Available</li><li>Employee Assistance Program</li><li>Retirement Plan with Employer Match</li><li>Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary, and AD&amp;D</li><li>Paid Time Off (Vacation and Public Holidays)</li><li>Incentive Pay and RSU Plans</li></ul>*Recruiting agencies, we are not currently accepting unsolicited referrals for this or any open role.
