<h3>What to Expect</h3>We're looking for a Revenue Accounting Manager to lead global revenue accounting operations our Noord-Scharwoude and/or Amsterdam office. This role owns the end-to-end revenue accounting process, from assisting the business with client orders to monthly close activities and collections. You will manage a team 6 (largely outsourced) accountants to ensure timely, accurate execution. You'll work closely with leadership, sales and other departments bridging time zones and processes to maintain a single, consistent global revenue accounting standard.This is a hands-on management role suited to someone who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves in SAP, talking to clients as leading an outsourced team.<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual company wide multi-currency revenue close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP.</li><li>Manage and oversee a team of accountants, including task allocation, quality review, training, and performance management</li><li>Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and revenue schedules prepared by the team</li><li>Maintain and improve revenue recognition processes in SAP, ensuring proper system configuration and data integrity</li><li>Contribute to collection process, which includes customer contact as well as liquidity reporting</li><li>Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries</li><li>Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce close cycle time</li><li>Ensure compliance with local statutory and tax requirements related to revenue reporting across markets</li><li>Prepare variance analyses and management reporting, in collaboration with FP&amp;A on revenue trends for senior leadership</li><li>Act as a key point of contact for cross-functional teams (Sales, Logistics, Legal, FP&amp;A) on revenue-related matters</li></ul><h3>Skills and Attributes</h3><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field</li><li>5+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a team-lead capacity</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with SAP (FI/CO or relevant revenue modules) is a must (Zero operates on SAP S/4 Hana)</li><li>Proven experience managing, or working with, outsourced or offshore accounting teams</li><li>Solid understanding of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606)</li><li>Experience working within a global, matrixed organization and collaborating across time zones with a US headquarters</li><li>Experience in a high-growth, multinational, or automotive/manufacturing environment is a plus</li></ul> Skills and Attributes<ul><li>Excellent written and spoken English; additional European languages are a plus</li><li>Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline pressure</li><li>Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment typical of a scaling EV company</li><li>Some travel can be expected (other locations in The Netherlands as well as occasionally internationally)</li><li>Flexibility to engage with different time-zones on a regular basis</li></ul><h3>Why Zero Motorcycles</h3>Zero Motorcycles, a leader and innovator in electric motorcycles and commercial powertrains, incorporates advanced technology, stunning design and commitment to environmental benefits.
