About this opportunity We're looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our manufacturing team and help drive operational excellence at our Avondale site.Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in leading frontline teams, ensuring production targets are achieved, and creating a safe and engaged workplace culture. This is an opportunity to make a real impact by developing people, improving performance, and contributing to the ongoing success of a well-established manufacturing operation.If you're a hands-on leader who enjoys motivating teams, solving problems, and driving continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you.Your key responsibilities will be to:<ul><li>Lead, coach and develop production team members to create a safe, engaged and high-performing workplace culture.</li><li>Coordinate daily production activities to ensure operational, quality, service and efficiency targets are achieved.</li><li>Drive strong health, safety and environmental practices, promoting a proactive and positive safety culture.</li><li>Monitor production performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement initiatives that enhance productivity and reliability.</li><li>Act as the key link between frontline teams and site leadership, ensuring clear communication and alignment across the operation.</li><li>Support workforce planning, labour utilisation, inventory control and resource allocation to meet business requirements.</li><li>Provide leadership support to the Operations Manager, maintaining operational continuity and decision-making when required.</li></ul>Your skills and experienceTo be successful in this role, you’ll have:<ul><li>Leadership experience within manufacturing, production, FMCG or operational environment.</li><li>Proven ability to coach, develop and motivate teams to achieve strong performance outcomes.</li><li>Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system.</li><li>Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.</li><li>Sound understanding of health and safety, quality systems and manufacturing best practices.</li><li>Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced operational environment.</li><li>Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.</li><li>Mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach to supporting operational requirements.</li><li>A passion for continuous improvement and driving positive change.</li></ul>
