<h2><span style="color:rgb(0, 32, 96);">What The Role Is</span></h2><p>The Analyst, Asset Management, will serve as a member of a team responsible for the commercial management of utility-scale and distributed renewable energy projects located across the United States.  Asset Management also serves as the owner’s representative, ensuring that budget control, value optimization, and risk mitigation are performed during the entire operational lifecycle of a project.</p><p>The Analyst will work closely with the other members of the team and a wide range of Clearway departments to help maximize the value of assets, ensure contractual compliance, and support growth initiatives.</p><p>This hybrid position is located in our San Diego, CA office. If you don’t meet 100% of the qualifications below but see yourself contributing, please submit your resume.</p><h2><span style="color:rgb(0, 32, 96);">What You'll Be Doing</span></h2><p><strong>Due Diligence on New Project Investments:</strong></p><ul><li>Support project evaluations, project agreements, contract reviews, and due diligence to help make recommendations in support of acquisitions, divestitures, and/or investments in company-developed projects.</li></ul><p><strong>Financial &amp; Performance Management:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide P&amp;L analysis and economic performance for generating assets within the assigned portfolio.</li><li>Perform financial analyses, project evaluations, and due diligence to help make recommendations in support of plant optimization, recovery plans, revenue enhancement, and other major capital investments.</li><li>Analyze, track, and update budgets, forecasts, and financial models.</li><li>Monitor monthly performance and variance reports; investigate and address observed deviations.</li><li>Investigate any major plant outages and influence the resolution or minimization of outages.</li><li>Review gross margin performance and work with the energy management group to explain variances due to market conditions.</li><li>Extract generation data from external &amp; internal sources as needed to support various reporting needs.</li><li>Ensure asset financial models are updated, as needed.</li></ul><p><strong>Commercial Management &amp; Administration:</strong></p><ul><li>Support business administration activities and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with key project company agreements and financing agreements.</li><li>Control and manage project document organization and retention.</li><li>Ensure general business-related licenses, permits, and regulatory requirements are successfully managed.</li><li>Review project company agreements to accommodate any project modifications.</li><li>Prepare reports and presentations for project stakeholders as required.</li></ul><p><strong>Project Integration</strong></p><ul><li>Support the development of information, sharing platforms, and work management systems, including populating such systems with historical records and archiving of documents.</li><li>Support improvements to asset management and project handover processes.</li></ul><h2><span style="color:rgb(0, 32, 96);">What You'll Bring</span></h2><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.</li><li>0-3 years of professional experience in asset management, data analytics, business administration, project management, contract administration, project finance, or other commercial roles.</li><li>Ability to read, translate, and interpret complex agreements or regulations, with an understanding of legal terminology.</li><li>Experience researching, analyzing, and synthesizing data and reports.</li><li>Developed analytical, project management, and organizational skills.</li><li>Strong business and financial savvy with an understanding of accounting, finance, and valuation concepts.</li><li>An ability to perform at a high level in a matrixed organization, working in inter-departmental teams to achieve objectives.</li><li>Experience in manipulating and managing large amounts of structured and unstructured data.
