This role requires a hands-on leader who can prioritize competing demands, hold teams and vendors accountable, and drive issues to resolution.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead, coach, and develop the maintenance team to ensure safe, efficient, and timely completion of maintenance activities.</li><li>Manage daily maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, emergency repairs, and equipment troubleshooting.</li><li>Develop and maintain maintenance schedules, priorities, and timelines while ensuring work is completed on time and to a high standard.</li><li>Establish and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs to increase equipment reliability and reduce downtime.</li><li>Monitor equipment performance, identify recurring failures, and implement root-cause corrective actions.</li><li>Conduct regular facility and equipment inspections to proactively identify safety, reliability, and maintenance concerns.</li><li>Maintain an organized and accurate critical-spares inventory to ensure essential parts are available when needed while controlling inventory costs.</li><li>Manage maintenance vendors, contractors, and service providers; establish strong vendor relationships and hold vendors accountable for quality, response time, cost, and performance.</li><li>Identify and develop new vendor relationships to improve service coverage, response times, and overall facility support.</li><li>Coordinate and oversee contractors performing maintenance, construction, equipment installation, and facility improvement work.</li><li>Support facility expansions, construction, equipment installations, relocations, upgrades, and other capital improvement projects.</li><li>Develop project schedules, track milestones, monitor budgets, and communicate project status to leadership and stakeholders.</li><li>Partner with Engineering, Operations, Safety, Quality, and other departments on equipment, facility, and process-related projects.</li><li>Ensure maintenance activities and facility operations comply with applicable local, state, and federal codes, permits, regulatory requirements, and company standards.</li><li>Support safety, environmental, food-safety, and audit requirements related to maintenance and facility operations.</li><li>Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, equipment documentation, PM records, vendor information, and compliance documentation.</li><li>Establish maintenance KPIs and track performance, including equipment uptime, PM completion, downtime, response time, work-order backlog, repeat failures, and maintenance costs.</li><li>Respond effectively to equipment and facility emergencies and coordinate resources to minimize operational disruption.</li><li>Promote a proactive maintenance culture focused on safety, reliability, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.</li><li>Identify opportunities to reduce maintenance costs, improve equipment reliability, increase efficiency, and extend asset life.</li><li>Ensure maintenance areas, tools, equipment, and spare-parts storage remain clean, organized, and properly maintained.</li></ul>Skills and Requirements<ul><li>Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Proven ability to lead and hold maintenance employees, contractors, and vendors accountable for performance and deadlines.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.</li><li>Strong understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance practices for manufacturing, fulfillment, distribution, or food-processing equipment.</li><li>Experience managing maintenance projects and facility improvement projects using MS Project or comparable project-management software.</li><li>Working knowledge of facility systems, utilities, material-handling equipment, refrigeration, electrical systems, mechanical systems, conveyors, packaging equipment, and other industrial equipment.</li><li>Understanding of applicable local, state, and federal building, electrical, mechanical, fire, environmental, safety, and permitting requirements.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and urgent maintenance issues in a fast-paced operating environment.</li><li>Strong vendor-management and contract-management skills.</li><li>Ability to analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement long-term corrective actions.</li><li>Strong computer skills and experience with CMMS or computerized maintenance-management systems preferred.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with Operations, Engineering, Safety, Quality, and other cross-functional teams.</li><li>A proactive, hands-on, "get-it-done" leadership approach with a strong focus on accountability and follow-through.</li></ul>Experience / Education<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related field preferred;
