You will build and maintain our standard cost structure,<br>own inventory valuation and overhead allocation, and give operations leaders a clear, trusted<br>picture of what it actually costs us to produce.<br><br>The ideal candidate has owned cost accounting in a manufacturing environment, is as<br>comfortable on the production floor as in the ledger, and wants to stand up a costing model in a<br>business where the process itself is still being optimized.</span></div><div> </div></div><br><br><h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Standard Costing: Build, maintain, and update standard costs across raw materials, labor,<br>and overhead; own the annual standard cost roll. </li><li>Production Variances: Analyze purchase price, material usage, labor, and overhead<br>variances; investigate root causes with operations and report findings to leadership.</li><li>Inventory Valuation: Own inventory valuation across raw materials, work in process, and<br>finished goods, including reserves for excess and obsolete inventory.</li><li>Overhead Allocation: Design and maintain overhead absorption methodologies across sites<br>and production lines </li><li>Cycle Counts: Oversee cycle count programs and physical inventory procedures; investigate<br>and resolve discrepancies.</li><li>Margin Analysis: Provide product-level and process-level cost and margin analysis to<br>support pricing, capital, and process decisions.</li><li>Cross-Functional Partnership: Work directly with production, engineering, supply chain, and<br>procurement to ensure BOMs, routings, and cost inputs reflect reality.</li><li>Close and Audit: Own cost-related close activities, reconciliations, and audit schedules.</li><li>Grants: Support cost accounting on sponsored and government-funded programs.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications: </h3><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred. </li><li>7+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Deep expertise in standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and overhead<br>absorption.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of BOMs, routings, and manufacturing operations.</li><li>Proficiency with NetSuite ERP or a comparable system; advanced Excel skills.</li><li>Experience partnering directly with plant and operations leadership.</li><li>Willingness to spend time on the production floor to understand the process behind the<br>numbers.</li><li>Experience in a startup, scale-up, or greenfield manufacturing environment is a plus.</li></ul><h3>What We Offer</h3><ul><div>This pay range reflects best estimate for the total cash compensation which includes salary +<br>discretionary bonus for this role.
