If you are looking for a role where your contribution is visible, your development matters, and your work supports a more sustainable future, Scatec may be the right place for you.Ready to make an impact?Why this role mattersAs Site Mechanical Engineer, you will oversee mechanical construction activities on site for the Obelisk project, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with quality, timeline, cost, and HSSE expectations. You will play a key role in coordinating contractors, monitoring progress, resolving technical matters, and supporting successful project execution.What you’ll be doingIn this role, you will:<ul> <li>Supervise all mechanical activities on site, including piles, trackers, metal structures, modules, fences, tower erection, and HV/MV mechanical assembly.</li> <li>Monitor daily physical progress, report deviations, and follow up on quality, time, cost, and HSSE performance.</li> <li>Engage daily with sub-supplier and contractor site teams to support delivery and resolve execution challenges.</li> <li>Review construction documentation such as method statements and coordinate technical approvals with engineering when needed.</li> <li>Lead mechanical pre-construction meetings and ensure site activities begin only after alignment and agreement.</li> <li>Manage technical queries, support technical assessments, and ensure construction follows the latest approved drawings and specifications.</li> <li>Coordinate with quality inspectors on critical activities, inspections, audits, witness points, and hold points.</li> <li>Support NCR follow-up, final inspections, punch lists, red-marked drawings, and as-built documentation.</li></ul>Your work will support real decisions, real assets, and real operational outcomes.What you’ll gain<ul> <li>Professional growth through ownership, exposure, and meaningful contribution from day one.</li> <li>Hands-on experience in a role where the challenge is energising, fast-moving, meaningful, and built on learning through doing.</li> <li>The opportunity to contribute directly to one of Scatec’s renewable energy construction projects in Egypt.</li> <li>Exposure to multidisciplinary site execution, contractor management, quality, HSSE, and project delivery practices.</li></ul>What you’ll bringExperience and qualifications<ul> <li>Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction, or a relevant technical discipline.</li> <li>Minimum 5 years’ experience in EPC medium to large construction projects.</li> <li>At least 1 year of ground mount PV experience with tracker systems.</li> <li>Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and construction documentation.</li> <li>Experience with PV module mounting structures, piling, ramming, predrilling, skid foundations, or similar site works.</li> <li>Knowledge of solar and/or renewable energy projects and mechanical construction best practices.</li></ul><ul> <li>Arabic speaker with v.good English, spoken and written.</li></ul> What it’s like to work at ScatecAt Scatec, we combine purpose with performance.
