SUMMARYThe Industrial Engineering Intern will assist the Manufacturing Engineering department in successfully achieving manufacturing goals and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. The intern will receive assignments from the Manager of Manufacturing, or an assigned representative, and will be encouraged to contribute ideas and suggestions.YOUR IMPACT<ul><li>Audit and update work instructions, routings, and bills of materials.</li><li>Improve material handling methods.</li><li>Learn to solve real time operations problems using different Lean tools.</li><li>Participate and contribute in Continuous Improvement Journey.</li><li>Develop methods in fabrication and machining processes.</li><li>Perform workstation/cell analyses to improve productivity and quality.</li><li>Provide technical support to the production personnel.</li><li>Provide input for manufacturing fixtures and tooling.</li><li>Assist with plant layout and workstation design.</li><li>Learn and use ERP manufacturing software.</li><li>Create documentation for new product launches.</li><li>All other duties or projects as assigned.</li></ul>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>Student working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Welding Engineering Technology, Industrial, Mechanical or other related Engineering field for entire duration of internship</li></ul>STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>GPA of 3.0 or greater.</li><li>Working knowledge or exposure to ERP System such as JD Edwards.</li><li>Experience in welding, machining, or fabrication.</li><li>Exposure to cell or work center layout.</li><li>Experience with 2D &amp; 3D CAD software.</li><li>Exposure to Lean and 5S concepts.</li></ul>Pay Range:$18.00 - $37.00<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div>The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations.
