Job Summary:The Controls Integration Engineer is a member of the engineering/new product development team which works closely with other teams such as engineering labs, system engineering, manufacturing, IT, and product management to develop system-level control software across multiple HVAC control platforms for heat pumps in water to air and water to water applications.  The selected individual should have technical expertise in design, development, and debugging of equipment system level controls.  This preferred individual will work with the embedded software engineering team to develop and troubleshoot controls.  This position is based in Fort Wayne, IN with less than 15% travel required. <ul><li>Design, develop, validate, debug, and support operational code that controls factory-installed control packages on water-to-water heat pumps, air-to-water chillers, water-to-air heat pumps, DOAS systems, and rooftop units.</li><li>Collaborate with R&amp;D and applications engineering teams to write and or refine specifications for a variety of packaged systems.</li><li>Visual programming for HVAC controls in Niagara N4 and Automated Logic (ALC) platforms.</li><li>Support research and development projects requiring system-level software.</li><li>Provide support for Manufacturing, Technical Services, Field Trials, and in-house labs</li><li>Assist in project planning by providing work estimates for various projects.</li><li>Assist in system level definition around application and coordination with customer BAS/Control systems.</li></ul>  Required Skills/Abilities:<ul><li>Five or more years’ experience in system design</li><li>Five or more years visual programming experience using Niagara, Automated Logic (ALC) or similar coding platforms.</li><li>Strong coding skills and methodologies</li><li>Basic knowledge of GIT software documentation control</li><li>Understanding of machine/system control</li><li>Good communication skills with the ability to work in both a team environment</li></ul>and independently.<ul><li>Self-starter</li><li>Detail-oriented</li><li>Familiarity with various communication protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, BACnet IP, as well as RS485 infrastructure</li></ul>Education and Experience:<ul><li>Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or experience in related field preferred</li><li>HVAC experience and knowledge is a plus</li><li>Niagara 4 Certification a plus</li><li>ALC Certification a plus</li></ul> Essential Functions: Other Duties:Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.  Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.  Hybrid work may be available.
