Today, our technology moves freight across North America, Europe, and the Middle East for some of the world's biggest shippers.Based in the Northeast, the Fleet Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing our fleet of vehicles and equipment. You will ensure maximum uptime with a specific focus on heavy-duty electric engines, hydraulics, and specialized machinery. This role requires the ability to work in varied environments, including the harsh winter conditions typical of the region.<h3>Your key responsibilities will be:</h3><ul><li>Preventative Maintenance (PM): Performing oil changes, fluid checks and safety inspections heavy-duty vehicles.</li><li>Diagnostics and Repair: Utilizing computer diagnostic tools to diagnose and repair electric vehicles, for example electrical systems, suspensions, and braking systems (ABS/air brakes).</li><li>Mobile Service/Field Service: Traveling to sites for PM, diagnostic or repairs that are needed</li><li>Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate service records, work orders, and inventory logs in our fleet management software system</li></ul><h3>We expect you to have:</h3><ul><li>Generally 2+ years of experience in the repair of heavy duty vehicles (preferably electric vehicles).</li><li>High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited vocational or diesel technology program is highly preferred.</li><li>Valid Driver’s License required; Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is often required, or must be obtained within a probationary period.</li><li>Ability to lift up to 75–100 lbs., walk on uneven surfaces, climb into large vehicles, and work in awkward positions (e.g., under a vehicle on a creeper).</li></ul>Working Environment: Automotive garage, service station, or site and all-weather conditions.This is a full-time position based in Chicago, USA.
