Your mission Position, Location, Department  Full-time | Scandinavia | Technical Europe   Position Summary  The Technical Service Engineer BESS is responsible for the on-site installation support, commissioning, grid connection, and aftersales technical service of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across Northern Europe.  The role acts as the primary on-site technical representative, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality project delivery from installation through commissioning, acceptance, and post-installation support. The Service Engineer collaborates closely with customers, EPCs, subcontractors, and internal technical teams to resolve technical issues, ensure compliance with local grid and safety requirements, and deliver an excellent customer experience throughout the project lifecycle.    Reporting Line  Reports to: Team Lead Service Delivery BESS    Major Responsibilities  Site Delivery &amp; Commissioning  <ul><li>Provide on-site technical support duringinstallation, commissioning, testing, and handover of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. </li><li>Superviseinstallationactivities and verifycompliancewithtechnicalspecifications, qualitystandards, and safety requirements. </li><li>Perform systemcommissioning, functionaltesting, and gridconnectionactivities to ensuresuccessfulprojectenergization. </li><li>Resolve on-site technicalissuesrelated to electricalinstallation, systemintegration, and gridcompliance. </li><li>Support projectacceptance, punch-list resolution, and final technicalhandover to customers.</li></ul>After-Sales Technical Support  <ul><li>Respondpromptly to customertechnicalenquiries via remote or on-site support and ensuretimelyissueresolution. </li><li>Troubleshoothardware, software, communication, and systemperformanceissues, escalatingcomplexcaseswhereappropriate. </li><li>Manage aftersales service activities through the service management system, ensuring accurate documentation and timely closure of work orders. </li><li>Coordinatewithengineering, product, and technical support teams to resolvetechnicalissuesefficiently. </li><li>Coordinate with Sales teams to ensure effective customer communication and high customer satisfaction.</li></ul>Customer Support &amp; Training  <ul><li>Deliver customertraining on systemoperation, routinemaintenance, and safetyprocedures. </li><li>Build positive customerrelationshipsthrough professional technical support and effectivecommunication. </li><li>Handle customercomplaintsprofessionally and coordinateappropriatecorrectiveactions to maintaincustomersatisfaction. </li></ul>Continuous Improvement  <ul><li>Collect and communicatecustomerfeedback, technicalissues, and fieldobservations to support productimprovements. </li><li>Maintaintechnicalknowledge of BESS products, systemarchitecture, and commissioningprocedures. </li><li>Support spare partsinventorymanagement and ensureservicetoolsareproperlymaintained.</li></ul>Performance Indicators  <ul><li>Response time to customer service requests </li><li>Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) </li><li>First-time fix / first-visit resolution rate </li><li>On-time commissioning and project handover </li><li>Technical quality of commissioning and documentation </li><li>Customer satisfaction with field service support </li><li>Compliance with EHS and site safety requirements </li><li>Accuracy and timeliness of service documentation</li></ul> Your profile Required Qualifications <ul><li>Bachelor's degree or technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline</li><li>Typically 3-7 years of experience in field service, commissioning, site engineering, or technical support within BESS, PV, power systems, electrical infrastructure, or related industry</li><li>Strong understanding of electrical systems, inverters, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), or power conversion equipment </li><li>Experience with electrical installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting </li><li>Ability to interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and single-line schematics </li><li>Knowledge of grid connection requirements and electrical safety standards is preferred </li><li>Experience working on utility-scale or commercial renewable energy projects is an advantage</li><li>English: C1 (professional working proficiency)</li><li>Valid driver's license</li></ul>Skills &amp; Competencies <ul><li>Strong technicaltroubleshooting and diagnosticskills</li><li>Practicalunderstanding of electricalsystems and commissioningprocesses</li><li>Structured, detail-oriented, and safety-focusedworking style </li><li>Strong customerservice and communicationskills</li><li>Ability to workindependentlyunderdemandingsiteconditions</li><li>Strong problem-solving and decision-makingcapability</li><li>Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholdermanagementskills</li><li>High level of adaptability and willingness to travel extensively </li></ul>Travel Requirement  Very frequent travel across Northern Europe (estimated ≥50% of working time).
