This position is responsible for programming, setting up, and optimizing CNC machines used to manufacture precision components from metal and/or plastic materials. The ideal candidate will be experienced in G-code and M-code programming, machine setup, tooling selection, process improvement, and quality verification to ensure efficient production and high-quality results.<ul><li>Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-code, M-code, and CAM software.</li><li>Set up CNC mills, lathes, routers, and other machining equipment for production runs.</li><li>Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&amp;T requirements, and work instructions.</li><li>Select and install tooling, fixtures, and work-holding devices.</li><li>Establish machine offsets, tool lengths, and machine parameters.</li><li>Conduct first-piece inspections and verify product conformance to specifications.</li><li>Troubleshoot programming, tooling, machine, and quality issues.</li><li>Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce scrap.</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation of setup sheets, tooling requirements, programs, and process changes.</li><li>Train and support machine operators on setup requirements and production processes.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all company safety, quality, and environmental standards.</li><li>Perform preventive maintenance and basic machine upkeep as required.</li><li>Supports lean manufacturing through 5S methodology: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain</li></ul><h1>Qualifications:</h1><ul><li>High School Diploma, Technical Training, or equivalent degree</li><li>3+ years of CNC programming and machine setup experience in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Proficiency in G-code and M-code programming.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&amp;T.</li><li>Experience setting up CNC milling and/or turning equipment.</li><li>Strong knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining processes.</li><li>Ability to use precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges.</li><li>Willingness and resilience to meet the physical demands of the position; lift up to 50 pounds and standing for 4or more hours at a time.</li><li>Basic English reading and speaking skills required to understand work instructions and safety information.</li><li>Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and consistently changing environment</li><li>High level of commitment and flexibility</li><li>Hourly Rate: $26.00 – $33.00 per hour (final offer within this range based on skills, experience, and internal equity)</li></ul> Communication &amp; Collaboration: Communicates clearly and concisely, while engaging proactively with colleagues.
