The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Sydney, Australia.Key responsibilities:The Security Systems Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end delivery support of security systems, including:<ul><li>Translating system engineering and product inputs into security system designs and implementation arrangements</li><li>Supporting the specification, configuration, and deployment of Access Control System, Intrusion Detection System, CCTV equipment, and associated security systems infrastructure</li><li>Preparing and maintaining technical documentation, configuration records, and design inputs</li><li>Supporting procurement and technical evaluation activities for security systems equipment and services</li><li>Configuring security systems in accordance with approved design, product standards, and project requirements</li><li>Supporting integration with related project systems, external interfaces, and internal Hitachi Rail business applications</li><li>Planning and supporting factory testing, site testing, commissioning, defect resolution, and handover activities</li><li>Providing technical support during deployment, commissioning, and early operations</li><li>Maintaining configuration control and design consistency across all security systems deliverables</li></ul>Key skills, knowledge and experience:<ul><li>Experience in security systems engineering within complex infrastructure or rail environments</li><li>Strong practical knowledge of Access Control System, Intrusion Detection System, CCTV design, configuration, deployment, testing, commissioning, and integration</li><li>Ability to support system integration, interface coordination, and site implementation activities</li><li>Experience producing technical documentation and supporting procurement and delivery activities</li><li>Understanding of configuration control, testing processes, and commissioning requirements</li><li>Relevant qualifications or equivalent practical experience in engineering, security systems, information technology, or a related discipline</li></ul>At Hitachi Rail, we know that a diverse business is a sustainable business.
