And that’s where you come in.Job Description: Perform integration and test activities comprising of field support of on-going project activities. Perform Field Change modification to existing Designs as needed; Perform field troubleshooting, maintenance in CBTC equipment such as vehicle and wayside systems, and other external tasks related to test documentation and formalization of reports.Key Accountabilities <ul><li>Performs on-site installation and maintenance of Non- CBTC and CBTC equipment for wayside systems</li><li>Initiates work process procedures as per customer process</li><li>Identify problems detected during tests and corrects them as required</li><li>Supports Troubleshooting and repair CBTC equipment as required</li><li>Provides support of test Carborne and Wayside activities and the planning of field activities</li><li>Provides technical support in all operational matters in the functionality of wayside subsystems</li><li>Works with diverse departments and becomes involved in all phases of integration, commissioning and support • Promotes customer relations / company credibility</li><li>Investigate/Troubleshoot system anomalies through analysis of data files, design documentation and interaction with development departments</li><li>Provide summaries and detailing of test activities in the form of both informal and formal test reports</li></ul>Key Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in related field with a minimum of 5-8+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree in related field with 4+ years of relevant experience</li><li>Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments</li><li>Excellent organizational and communications skills, both verbal and written, and good interpersonal skills</li><li>Demonstrated fluency and understanding/comprehension in oral and written English</li><li>Field experience in a rail transit installation, test or support environment or similar technology application is of significance</li><li>Experience in support of field activities</li><li>Strong process orientation and discipline to ensure compliance with both Corporate and Customer procedures</li><li>Critical thinking, able to identify and implement better efficiencies and process improvements</li><li>Effective communication skills to interact professionally with all levels inside and outside the organization.</li><li>Flexibility to take on additional projects and adapt to changes in priorities</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications <ul><li>Knowledge of automatic train control systems concepts and principles as well as current existing signaling standards</li><li>Working knowledge of safety standards and practices required at project site</li><li>Experience in installation and testing of train control systems</li><li>Experience in customer interaction and adapting of their processes</li><li>Working knowledge of Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) products with respect to installation support and testing a strong asset</li><li>Experience in deploying fixed block signaling systems a strong asset</li><li>Typically 1-2 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above</li></ul>The Company provides the following compensation range and general description of benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position.
