Our mission is to protect the company’s and its customers’ critical information systems and data by proactively monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to cyber threats. We are a team of passionate security professionals, threat hunters, and problem-solvers who continuously strive to improve our security posture through innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Security Engineer who is passionate about cybersecurity, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to contribute to a world-class Security Operations Center.<h1>What You'll Be Doing</h1>As a Senior Security Engineer, you will work as an individual contributor within our 24x7 Security Operations Center and play a key role in strengthening our detection, response, and threat hunting capabilities.<h3>Core Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Monitor, triage, and investigate alerts from SIEM, EDR, DLP, Email Security, Identity Protection.</li><li>Lead the investigation of escalated security incidents and drive them to resolution with clear root cause analysis (RCA).</li><li>Perform proactive threat hunting across enterprise environments to identify advanced threats and suspicious activities.</li><li>Develop, tune, and maintain detection use cases, correlation rules, and security analytics.</li><li>Manage and optimize security controls, policies, and automated workflows within EDR platforms (CrowdStrike preferred).</li><li>Conduct malware analysis and security investigations across endpoints, identities, cloud services, and network environments.</li><li>Review and analyze telemetry, logs, and threat intelligence to identify security anomalies and attack patterns.</li><li>Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, Network, IAM, Compliance, and Engineering teams to improve security controls.</li><li>Mentor SOC analysts and provide technical guidance during investigations and incident response activities.</li><li>Keep up to date with emerging threats, attacker techniques, security technologies, and industry best practices.</li><li></ul><h1>What You Bring to the Team</h1><h3>Required Experience</h3><ul><li>4-6 years of experience in a 24x7 Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.</li><li>Strong experience handling escalated security incidents and leading investigations.</li><li>Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, DLP, Email Security, Identity Protection.</li><li>Experience creating and tuning correlation rules, detection logic, and security policies.</li><li>Experience working with CrowdStrike Falcon or other enterprise EDR platforms.</li><li>Experience conducting incident response, threat hunting, digital forensics, and malware investigations.</li><li>Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&amp;CK Framework, Cyber Kill Chain, Threat Intelligence, and Attack Analysis.</li><li>Experience performing root cause analysis and producing incident reports for management and technical teams.</li><li>Good understanding of Identity Security, Privileged Access, and Identity Protection concepts.</li><li>Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTPS, LDAP, VPNs, and web technologies.</li><li>Experience with Windows, Linux/Unix, macOS, and server environments.</li><li>Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and drive security initiatives to completion.</li><li></ul><h1>It Will Be a Plus If You Have</h1><ul><li>Knowledge of Cloud Security (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform).</li><li>Knowledge with Vulnerability Management and Security Assessments.</li><li>Security certifications such as:<ul><li>CrowdStrike Certifications</li><li>CEH</li><li>CompTIA CySA+</li></ul></li></ul><h3>Why Join Us?</h3>If you are passionate about cybersecurity, threat hunting, detection engineering, and incident response, and want to work with a highly skilled global security team protecting a large enterprise environment, we invite you to join Hitachi Digital Cyber Defence Team and contribute to our mission of securing the future.<h1>About us  </h1>We’re a global, 1000-stong, diverse team of professional experts, promoting and delivering Social Innovation through our One Hitachi initiative (OT x IT x Product) and working on projects that have a real-world impact.
