Our mission is to manufacture and deliver high-performance systems with the highest level of quality that will deliver the best total value to our customers.The Production Supervisor role directly contributes to that mission and will require a person with a diversified skill set who is flexible and able to prioritize workloads and direct staff in a rapidly changing environment.  This position is for a hands-on leader with a strong work ethic and broad technical and administrative experience in a manufacturing environment.  This person will need to utilize critical thinking, problem solving skills, and root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>Supervise and/or monitor the production activities of employees.</li><li>Oversee the successful manufacturing of complex robotic systems as well as integrated mission systems in a fast paced, low volume/high mix manufacturing environment. </li><li>Manage and motivate production staff while meeting safety, cost, delivery, and quality expectations for the business.</li><li>Provide daily directions for production staff and act as a liaison between departments to communicate and eliminate productivity roadblocks. </li><li>Daily interaction with Engineering department to discuss/resolve production or quality concerns.</li><li>Attend and participate in meetings with senior leadership as required.</li><li>Manage production staff through communication of job expectations, planning, monitoring, coaching, counseling, disciplining, and providing performance evaluations.</li><li>Encourage and participate in employee career development.</li><li>Monitor and approve time sheets while tracking attendance records.</li><li>Ability to balance time between administrative work and being physically present on the production line for direct supervision/mentorship.</li><li>Experience developing and/or implementing new policies and procedures.</li><li>Coach and grow production team with a variety of career development methods.</li></ul>Required Job Qualifications:<ul><li>5-10 years of manufacturing experience preferably in a low volume/high mix environment.</li><li>3-5 years of supervisory experience.</li><li>Associates degree or higher in an electronic or engineering field, commensurate work experience to be reviewed on case-by-case basis.</li><li>Electrical or mechanical background with an understanding of electrical theory, mechanical assemblies, and experience with testing equipment.</li><li>Experience in Lean Manufacturing with a focus on implementation and sustainment.</li><li>Above average Microsoft office skills with ability to produce metrics in chart form.</li><li>Above average communication skills with excellent oral expression.</li><li>Experience monitoring and managing production performance through goal setting, key performance indicators (KPI’s), and data analytics.</li><li>Able and willing to work in a warehouse environment with some outdoor activities related to testing and fielding equipment.</li><li>Required to travel on special occasion, expected to be less than 2 times a year</li></ul>Desired/Preferred Job Qualifications:<ul><li>2-3 years of experience with ERP/MRP systems, SAP preferred.</li><li>Experience implementing new values streams from ground up to steady state production.</li><li>Certification IPC-620, IPC 610, or J-Standard (current or expired).</li><li>Experience working in an ISO/ITAR controlled environment.</li><li>Served on a safety committee.</li></ul>Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.#FLIR  Salary Range: $74,300.00-$99,100.000The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
