You will develop and maintain quality standards, lead investigations, drive continuous improvement, and manage supplier quality.</span></div><div><span style="font-size:11pt;">The daily team briefing begins promptly at 8:00 am, and you are expected to be present and ready to work at that time.</span></div></div><br><br><h3>Responsibilities </h3><ul><div><li>Development of manufacturing requirements, quality standards and product quality plans to assure products will meet expectations of our target customers</li><li>Identification of critical requirements to assure proper supplier and production focus on features and necessities  </li><li>Support development of manufacturing equipment, controls and test plans to address risks identified in FMEA</li><li>Support process capability analyses to investigate the ability of suppliers and production processes to meet defined specifications and quality standards</li><li>Manage and facilitate the root cause &amp; corrective actions system through tracking and validation of issues and support in root cause analysis through facilitating brainstorming, use of lean methodologies, hypothesis testing, design of experiments, etc</li><li>Communicating well with internal and external teams, traveling to suppliers in different regions, and on-the-spot critical decision making</li><li>Lead the MRB process to ensure parts are dispositioned in a timely and efficient manner to minimize inventory and production impact.</li><li>Assist with implementation and execution of change control.</li><li>Support line side with sorting / rework instruction development and execution, training operators or technician to carry those instructions in a proper manner</li><li>Engage supply chain, engineering and design team members for driving resolution to quality issues related to suppliers</li><li>This can require travel up to 20% of the time</li></div></ul><h3>Minimum Qualifications</h3><ul><div><li>Bachelor of Science in Electric, Mechanical, Materials, Industrial Engineering, or evidence of exceptional experience in related fields or equivalent practical experience</li><li>5+ years of experience with broad technical background and the ability to work with engineering, manufacturing, service and suppliers across a wide variety of issues</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish effective working relationships within Lightship and outside</li><li>Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills</li><li>PPAP/APQP processes, an advanced working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&amp;T) and Lean Manufacturing, and how to apply these skills to improve quality, capacity, and reduce cost </li><li>Able to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines</li><li>Well organized with meticulous attention to detail</li></div></ul><h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3><ul><div><li>Experience creating technical specifications for manufacturing equipment, and introducing new products and new processes from a prototype environment to a production environment</li><li>Specific training and demonstrated success in applying design for quality and problem-solving methodologies, FMEA, process capability analysis, hypothesis testing, DoE, SPC, etc</li><li>Previous experience with CMM and/or scanning equipment</li><li>Excellent team building skills in dealing with suppliers, peers and other functional areas</li></div></ul><h3>Equity </h3><ul><div><li>Lightship compensation consists of the yearly salary above plus equity, which gives you a stake in the company.</li></div></ul><br><div><strong style="font-size:11pt;">Employee Benefits &amp; Philosophy - Applies to Full Time Employees only</strong></div><div>- Healthcare, Dental, Vision</div><div>- 401k</div><div>- Flexible Paid Time Off - that we actually want you to use!</div><div>- 13 Company Holidays: 8 throughout the year + the company observes a week of scheduled downtime during the end of the year, allowing all employees to enjoy a break</div><div>- 12 weeks paid parental leave</div><div>- Yearly LightTrip stipend for an RV trip &amp;/or professional development opportunities </div><div> </div><div><span style="font-size:11pt;">Lightship offers all of its full time employees and their dependents full benefits including health, dental and vision insurance.
