At Mill, we are passionate about building easy-to-use, beautifully designed technologies that keep food in the food system and out of landfills.</span></p></div><h3><strong>The Role</strong></h3><p>This is a contract Marketing Manager role covering three concurrent workstreams: Mill's first national retail pilot, holiday campaign execution, and marketing partnerships. To be successful in this role, you'll manage complex cross-functional programs, build clear creative and strategic briefs, bring a working knowledge of the retail landscape and negotiate and manage partnerships.</p><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><strong>1. Retail Pilot Program Management</strong><ul><li>Serve as the connective tissue between Mill and the retailer's merchant/buyer team on marketing workstreams (distinct from the sales/BD relationship).</li><li>Continue executing program marketing in support of pilot and holiday. </li><li>Lead Assisted Selling and Store Engagement programs, training and supporting staff and translating learnings to other workstreams.</li><li>Plan and manage paid media on the retailer's own ad platform, and report on performance.</li></ul><strong>2. Holiday Campaign Management</strong><ul><li>Support holiday campaign execution from Cyber Week through New Year's Eve.</li><li>Partner with channel leads (paid, social, email, product) to ensure creative deliverables are completed and campaign is launched seamlessly.</li><li>Keep the campaign on track and on budget, managing stakeholders to timely delivery.</li></ul><strong>3. Partnerships</strong><ul><li>Manage and help execute partnerships, including commitments with our existing community of Influencers, brand partnerships and community partners. </li></ul><h3><strong>Who You Are</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>A Retail Marketing Operator:</strong> You've run physical in-store activation before, including display/POS production and navigating retailer merchandising constraints.</li><li><strong>Comfortable in Ambiguity:</strong> You build process while executing against fixed external deadlines, and don't need a complete playbook to start.</li><li><strong>A Data-Backed Storyteller:</strong> You can report on the details and understand the story for an exec audience. </li><li><strong>A Cross-Functional Operator:</strong> You coordinate programs across diverse teams.</li><li><strong>AI-enabled Approach:</strong> You err on the side of applying AI to help scale your workflows with increasing speed and efficiency.</li></ul><h3><strong>Qualifications &amp; Requirements</strong></h3><ul><li>10+ years in marketing, with direct experience in retail, channel, or shopper marketing.</li><li>Has managed retail media campaigns on at least one major platform (Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Instacart Ads, or similar).</li><li>Has managed external agency/vendor relationships and can write a clear creative or production brief.</li><li>Partnership or influencer marketing experience, from sourcing through measurement.</li><li>A plus, not a requirement: experience with a new-to-market or new-category product.</li></ul><h3><strong>Details</strong></h3><ul><li>Contract Duration: 6+ months</li><li>Location: San Bruno, CA (in-office most days)</li><li>Commitment: Full-time contractor </li><li>Reports to: GM, Consumer </li></ul><p><br><br></p>
