The company’s next-generation batteries are designed to enable greater energy density, faster charging and enhanced safety to support the transition away from legacy energy sources toward a lower carbon future. What we need: You will utilize your extensive experience and understanding of lithium-ion cell technology and architecture, materials, and components to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and be accountable for aspects of customer information management. What you''ll do:<ul><li>Coordinate with internal cell R&amp;D teams and cell manufacturing teams to create customer plans, track, and maintain cell specifications and roadmaps, release schedules, program milestones and deliverables, etc.</li><li>Communicate technical customer information to internal stakeholders.</li><li>Coordinate and deliver technical presentations to customers.</li><li>Conducts internal meetings, calls, follow-ups and other communications with stakeholders and management throughout the business project development and implementation stages to ensure deliverables to customers.</li><li>Provide timely responses and project reports to internal teams and customers.</li></ul> Skills you'll need:<ul><li>Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.</li><li>A constant risk management mindset.</li><li>Ability to create a sense of community amongst members of the project teams.</li><li>Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling programs.</li><li>Conflict resolution skills.</li><li>Masters +3 years of industry experience or PhD in materials or chemistry-related area with professional experience in customer and vendor environments.</li><li>Extensive experience and understanding of lithium-ion cell technology and architecture, materials and components and ideally experience in solid-state battery technology.</li><li>Application of scientific programming (e.g., Python) and statistical methods to analyze large datasets</li><li>Possess outstanding communication skills both verbal and written form. These are vital because the position is cross-functional in nature and demands frequent interactions and deliberations with other departments, customers.</li></ul> ONSITE: This position is required to work onsite 4 days per week to meet the minimum essential duties and requirements of this position.  As an on-site R&amp;D and manufacturing operations organization, in-person face to face interaction is essential to building authentic relationships, trust, teamwork, and collaboration.  Compensation &amp; Benefits: Expected salary range for this role is from $103,100 to $157,300 and a final salary will be determined by the candidate's experience, educational background and internal equity. QuantumScape also offers an annual bonus and a generous RSU/Equity package as part of its compensation plan.
