They will develop familiarity with the organization and company operations through networking with fellow interns and senior-level employees, while honing skills for practical future application.Internship OpportunitiesInterns in this position will have the opportunity to:<ul><li>Support corporate security initiatives that help protect Duke Energy's people, assets, and operations.</li><li>Conduct research and analysis to support both internal and external investigations.</li><li>Complete reviews of digital evidence in connection security investigations, intelligence gathering, and information reporting activities.</li><li>Liaison and network with local, state, and federal law enforcement and intelligence partners.</li><li>Participate in site security assessments, security equipment deployments, and security-related activities.</li><li>Collaborate with security professionals and business partners across the organization on special projects and strategic initiatives.</li></ul>Basic Qualifications<ul><li>Currently enrolled in a 4-year degree program with a major in Criminal Justice, National Security, Intelligence, or related field</li><li>Cumulative GPA of at least 2.75</li><li>Must not graduate prior to August 2027</li></ul>Desired Qualifications<ul><li>Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0</li><li>Leadership potential or demonstrated skills through extracurricular activities</li><li>Ability to excel in various roles</li><li>Professional and effective written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in team settings</li><li>Community service or volunteer experience</li><li>Self-driven, motivated, and proactive approach</li><li>Strong attention to detail</li><li>Excellent critical thinking skills</li></ul>Working Conditions<ul><li>Hybrid work environment – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations following the onboarding period.
