Through the global Stop Financing Factory Farming Campaign, the department advances MDB policy and project advocacy, strengthens Global South and frontline leadership, promotes agroecological alternatives to industrial agriculture, and builds the partnerships and infrastructure needed to advance global food-system and development-finance reform. Position SummaryThe Coalition Secretariat and Engagement Associate coordinates the operational functions of the global Stop Financing Factory Farming (S3F) Campaign, supporting Friends of the Earth's role as coalition secretariat. This position is responsible for coalition operations, budget and grant administration, vendor and contract coordination, governance support, and network engagement that enable effective implementation of international advocacy initiatives. As an experienced individual contributor, this role manages complex projects and operational priorities across a diverse international coalition, ensuring work is well coordinated, delivered on schedule, and aligned with campaign objectives. The position exercises independent judgment in managing day-to-day operations and partner relationships while recognizing when strategic, financial, or organizational issues require leadership input. The annual salary range for this full-time, remote position is. Starting salary is determined by qualifications, skills, and experience relevant to the role. This position is represented by the Nonprofit Professional Employees Union (NPEU). The first three (3) months of employment constitute an introductory (probationary) period. Essential Functions Coalition Operations &amp; Secretariat Coordination <ul><li>Coordinate the operational infrastructure supporting the Stop Financing Factory Farming coalition, including financial administration, grant management, governance processes, and coalition operations.</li><li>Administer coalition budgets, subgrants, vendor contracts, consultant agreements, financial tracking, and reporting in partnership with internal finance staff.</li><li>Coordinate grant administration by tracking deliverables, supporting reporting requirements, monitoring funding timelines, and assisting with coalition fundraising activities.</li><li>Support coalition governance processes, operational systems, and Steering Committee coordination.</li></ul> Coalition Engagement &amp; Network Development <ul><li>Develop and implement strategies to strengthen coalition participation and expand engagement across the global S3F network.</li><li>Build and maintain relationships with coalition members, prospective partners, and allied organizations to support campaign priorities and movement growth.</li><li>Coordinate coalition communications, outreach initiatives, and partner engagement activities that foster collaboration and shared ownership across the coalition.</li><li>Partner with regional coordinators to align outreach efforts and strengthen coordination across the global network.</li></ul> Campaign &amp; Project Coordination <ul><li>Coordinate cross-functional projects supporting coalition advocacy initiatives, ensuring activities remain aligned with campaign priorities and timelines.</li><li>Coordinate logistics and partner engagement for major advocacy initiatives, coalition events, and rapid response activities.</li><li>Monitor project milestones and proactively identify risks, opportunities, and solutions to support successful implementation.</li></ul> Required Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in political science, International Affairs, Public Policy, Environmental Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.</li><li>Minimum 3 years of experience in coalition coordination, campaigning, grassroots organizing, project management, or a related field.</li><li>Experience managing budgets, financial tracking, grant administration, contracts, or vendor relationships.</li><li>Demonstrated experience coordinating projects involving multiple partners while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.</li><li>Strong project management, organizational, and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships across diverse stakeholders.</li><li>Demonstrated judgment, initiative, and ability to work independently while adapting to evolving priorities and recognizing when issues require escalation.</li><li>Proficiency in managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and complex administrative processes.</li><li>Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience administering grants, subgrants, or donor-funded projects with multiple reporting requirements.</li><li>Knowledge of international development, multilateral development banks, sustainable finance, food systems, environmental policy, or related fields.</li><li>Experience supporting international advocacy campaigns or coalition-based initiatives.</li><li>Background in environmental policy, food systems, agriculture, public policy, public health, international development, or related discipline.</li><li>Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese.</li></ul> Perks and Benefits:We're proud to be a generous, people-first employer that invests in your growth and well-being.
