Work Location : HKUST, Clear Water Bay, Hong KongContract Period: up to July 2028 subject to reviewWorking:  5.5 days per weekDuties:  The duties of the Resident Building Services Inspector (RBSI) shall include, but not be limited to, the following:<ul><li>Responsible to the Contract Administrator / Project Building Services Engineer / Resident Building Services Engineer in technical and site matters.</li><li>In all aspects of supervision of building services work on site within the contracts and the maintenance of site records;</li><li>Monitor labour resources, progress, materials and equipment used on site;</li><li>Responsible for the upkeep of site records;</li><li>Liaise and co-ordinate with other contractors, utility companies, client and government departments on site matters;</li><li>Solve minor disputes / conflicts between various contractors, utility companies, client and government departments on site;</li><li>Ensure the correct materials and equipment are delivered to site by contractors and that only those approved materials and equipment are installed;</li><li>Assist in the site survey of existing building services installations including all underground utilities during the construction stage;</li><li>Supervise building services (MEP) elements and interfaces with FF&amp;E and Medical Equipment during the superstructure phase (e.g. embedded conduits, risers, sleeves, penetrations, preliminary HVAC/electrical provisions);</li><li>Ensure proper coordination to avoid clashes and facilitate future fitting-out works;</li><li>Inspect installations before concealment and witness related testing;</li><li>Verify compliance with specifications and medical-facility requirements where applicable;</li><li>Inspect and witness the testing and commissioning of building services installations, including off-site T&amp;C inspections as arranged;</li><li>Monitor the progress of building services works, prepare routine QC report highlighting outstanding works and installation irregularities, and supervise defects rectification status;</li><li>Check building services operation and maintenance manuals and as-fitted drawings submitted by various contractors; and</li><li>Carry out all such other duties as directed by the Project Building Services Engineer/ Resident Building Services Engineer</li></ul>
