We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesOrder Engineering (OE)<ul><li>Develop electrical designs, schematics, SLDs, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) based on project requirements.</li><li>Configure and customize standard electrical solutions for customer-specific applications.</li><li>Support engineering calculations including load calculations, cable sizing, protection coordination, and heat dissipation analysis.</li><li>Ensure compliance with applicable standards, customer specifications, and company design guidelines.</li><li>Coordinate with manufacturing, procurement, and project teams during project execution.</li><li>Support technical clarifications and resolve design-related issues during project implementation.</li></ul>New Product Development (NPD)<ul><li>Support concept development, prototype builds, and validation activities for new products and product enhancements.</li><li>Assist in translating Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback and competitive benchmarking into design improvements.</li><li>Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, DFMEA, DFM, and design verification activities.</li><li>Support product testing, troubleshooting, and field validation activities.</li><li>Contribute to product standardization, modularization, and cost optimization initiatives.</li><li>Prepare engineering documentation required for stage-gate/toll-gate reviews.</li></ul>Sustain Engineering<ul><li>Support investigation and resolution of field issues in collaboration with Service and Quality teams.</li><li>Evaluate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and implement approved design improvements.</li><li>Modify and maintain existing electrical designs to address component obsolescence, quality, and cost improvement opportunities.</li><li>Support product lifecycle management and continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Assist Sales and Service teams in resolving customer-specific technical issues.</li></ul>Electrical System Design &amp; Integration<ul><li>Design LV electrical systems including MCCs, control panels, switchgear, transformers, and power distribution systems.</li><li>Create electrical schematics, GA drawings, control panel layouts, terminal plans, and wiring diagrams using EPLAN / AutoCAD ELectrical.</li><li>Select electrical components, protection devices, cables, power supplies, PLC hardware, and control equipment.</li><li>Perform panel heat-load calculations and support enclosure selection.</li><li>Support compliance with CE, UL, IEC, EMC, and other applicable standards.</li><li>Promote standardized and reusable design solutions across product platforms.</li></ul>Testing &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Support electrical testing, panel validation, and troubleshooting activities.</li><li>Assist in EMC and environmental testing activities and support issue resolution.</li><li>Prepare test plans, validation reports, and technical documentation.</li><li>Support certification and compliance activities for products and systems.</li></ul>Collaboration<ul><li>Work closely with global engineering teams, product management, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, and service functions.</li><li>Participate in design reviews and cross-functional project meetings.</li><li>Support prototype builds, factory testing, and commissioning activities when required.</li><li>Travel occasionally for customer support, product validation, and project execution activities.</li></ul><div></div>Skills &amp; QualificationsMust-Have<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.</li><li>4-6 years of experience in Electrical Design Engineering with exposure to both Order Engineering (OE) and New Product Development (NPD) projects.</li><li>Proficiency in EPLAN / AutoaCAD Electrical for electrical schematic and panel design.</li><li>Experience in MCC and control panel design using Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, ABB, or equivalent platforms.</li><li>Strong knowledge of power distribution, motor controls, protection devices, switchgear, and cable sizing.</li><li>Experience with panel layout design, heat/load calculations, and component selection.</li><li>Understanding of IEC, UL, CE, and EMC requirements.</li><li>Working knowledge of DFMEA, design validation, root cause analysis, and engineering change management.</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and support field issue resolution.</li><li>Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within global cross-functional teams.</li></ul>Nice-to-Have<ul><li>Experience in the water and wastewater treatment industry.</li><li>Knowledge of PLC systems, VFDs, SCADA, and industrial automation.</li><li>Exposure to global engineering standards and compliance requirements.</li><li>Experience supporting EMC, FAT, SAT, or third-party certification testing.</li><li>Understanding of generators, ATS, UPS systems, earthing, and lightning protection.</li><li>Experience working in OEM product development and manufacturing environments.</li></ul>Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
