<div>Position Summary: The Regional Manager will be the business unit leader for CSS’ operations and maintenance of solar facilities in the region. The manager is responsible for the safe and timely completion of all service obligations within the portfolio.  Essential Functions:  <ul><li>Be a leader, mentor, and technical expert for a group of 6-10 field technicians and ensure CSS' values and culture of safety and quality customer service are adopted by all. Provide routine meaningful feedback to direct reports. </li><li>Ensure CSS' values and culture of safety and quality customer service are adopted by all. </li><li>Conduct and document training, skills verification, and QA/QC for the field team at least once per month.</li><li>Oversee and manage all service obligations with the goals of on-time deliverables and excellent customer service.  </li><li>Coordinate emergency response and ensure 365-day coverage for emergency response guarantee and participate in a monthly on-call rotation.</li><li>Create, schedule, assign, review, and approve work orders daily for all sites and equipment within the region.  </li><li>Plan annual preventative maintenance in preceding year; including electrical and vegetation maintenance. </li><li>Prepare field technicians for daily tasks, ensuring they have proper tools, materials, training, and skills to safely perform work tasks.</li><li>Remotely guide field technicians in troubleshooting and repair work as needed. </li><li>Be available to take technician phone calls 7 days a week, except during PTO. </li><li>Direct and dispatch subcontractors as necessary. </li><li>Manage company tools and resources and adhere to business unit budget. </li><li>Assist with field technician hiring process and resource allocation. </li><li>Administer and review skills assessment for current employees and potential hires. </li><li>Order and account for parts and equipment via company inventory procedures. Coordinate RMA processes with Account Management and Operations. </li><li>Provide prompt email acknowledgement and follow-up. </li><li>Review and approve personnel hours weekly, including temporary labor.</li><li>Maintain technical expertise in solar O&amp;M best practices, tools, techniques, and implementation of new practices. </li></ul>Supervisory Responsibilities <ul><li>Supervise up to 10 employees</li></ul><ul><li>Supervise subcontractors  </li></ul> Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities <ul><li>Ability to create and support team moral </li><li>Working knowledge and experience operating under OSHA 1910.269, NFPA 70E and  </li><li>Exemplary verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Team oriented attitude </li><li>Prioritizes safety daily, actively participate and lead site safety meeting </li><li>General computer, network, and technology proficiency </li><li>Values staff development and organizational excellence </li><li>Proficiency reading technical spec documents, site plans, &amp; electrical schematics </li></ul> Minimum Qualifications <ul><li>5 years of experience in utility solar PV </li></ul><ul><li>3 years of service or project-oriented management experience </li></ul> Physical Demands <ul><li>Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds frequently </li></ul> Work Environment <ul><li>Exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold </li></ul><ul><li>Exposure to electrical hazards  </li></ul>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this job.
