This position supports the development of design solutions and technical concepts.<ul><li>Apply engineering expertise to support sealing solutions across static and dynamic applications, including O-rings and emerging electrification/eMobility technologies.</li><li>Analyze warranty data, field performance, and teardown findings to identify root causes and drive continuous quality improvements.</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with internal experts (materials, tribology, CAE, and program management) and external customers to solve technical challenges.</li><li>Support customer programs and component reviews by providing technical input in program management meetings.</li><li>Develop and update seal designs using 2D and 3D CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX) to meet application requirements.</li><li>Lead or support problem-solving initiatives, including corrective actions, plant quality alignment, and VA/VE cost reduction projects.</li><li>Act as a technical partner to assigned customers—promoting solutions, identifying conversion opportunities, and delivering product training and application expertise.</li></ul></div><h1>Qualifications:</h1><div><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.</li><li>2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing, automotive, or industrial environment.</li><li>Hands-on mechanical aptitude with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and application documentation.</li><li>Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or NX.</li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and interact with customers.</li><li>Highly organized, self-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul></div>‎ ‎ The Freudenberg Group is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion.
