Pay Rate –$42 .12 per hourNumber of openings – 1DUTIESUnder general supervision with considerable opportunity for individual action, performs general substation work such as<ul><li>Uses Company safety practices and procedures.</li><li>Identifies substation equipment, layout requirements, plans, sections, panel elevations, and basic wiring design.</li><li>Reads, interprets, and applies information from manufacturer’s drawings, catalogs, and other applications in creating construction documents.</li><li>Makes detailed drawings depicting existing and proposed locations of facilities.</li><li>Creates construction documents including set-up, manipulation, scanning, merging, etc.</li><li>Performs general layout of substation equipment in accordance with Company standards and industry codes.</li><li>Accumulates and provides information to customers or other entities concerning material requirements and labor estimates.</li><li>Determines minor material requirements and prepares bills of material and requisitions from standardized listing of substation equipment.</li><li>Maintains familiarity with older substation designs and applications while adapting new technology.</li><li>Guides and assists employees in this and lower job classifications with their work, standard practices, and work procedures as assigned.</li><li>Performs work of a higher classification when preparing for advancement.</li><li>Performs other similar or less skilled work, as assigned.</li></ul>BASIC QUALIFICATIONSMust meet the Company’s requirements as to GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS; must have all the qualifications of Technician; and, in addition1.           Must have at least two (2) years experience as a Technician in the Substation line of progression, or the equivalent.2.           Must have completed the equivalent of sixty (60) quarter credits in an approved engineering/technical program as specified by the Department or have earned a degree recognized by the Department.3.           Must pass an examination as specified by the Department for entrance into this position.4.           Must have demonstrated proficiency in drafting standards, symbols, nomenclature, CAD tools, and engineering terms, including the use of materials, reference books and catalogs.Ability to successfully complete (EEI Tech) TestingTravel RequirementsNot required<h3>Relocation Assistance Provided (as applicable)</h3>No<h3>Represented/Union Position</h3>UWUA, IUU Local 600<h3>Visa Sponsored Position</h3>No. This is not a Visa Sponsored Position.
