Associate Energy Engineer

We need to hear, ventilate, and air condition our buildings 24/7. Most of the energy consumed in a building is for our comfort, but 50% of it is wasted! This is because buildings have little to no technology to control this.Parity is a Remote HVAC Optimization as a Service company. We remotely control and optimize HVAC systems 24/7/365 to deliver automatic energy savings and revenue to multifamily residential buildings and hotels. Using advanced algorithms, Parity can predict the amount of energy needed ahead of time to operate a building to meet its occupants' demands and adapt the building's systems and machinery in real time. We save our customers:<ol><li>Time - we automate setpoint adjustments and demand response protocols. We also unlock additional revenue through the automation of grid services.</li><li>CO2 Emissions - we reduce a building’s emissions by optimizing its HVAC systems and reducing energy waste.</li></ol>THE ROLE:We are looking for an Associate Energy Engineer to support Parity's Energy Engineering and Installation teams across incentive program management, utility data review, and field/technical support. This is a strong fit for someone recently out of school with a technical education and some exposure to the energy or building industry, who is eager to learn and grow into a broader engineering role.RESPONSIBILITIES:Energy Engineering<ul><li>Review and vet utility data for accuracy and completeness</li><li>Update existing customer quotes to reflect rate changes, incentive updates, and other project changes</li><li>Prepare desk quotes for prospective projects</li><li>Provide backup support for internal engineering/operations tools</li><li>Prepare shop drawings to support project scoping and installation</li><li>Support proposal generation on an ad hoc, backup basis</li><li>Conduct surveys for service projects as needed</li><li>Process deposit checks associated with project sales</li></ul>Incentive Support <ul><li>Conduct incentive-related inspections to support utility rebate and incentive program requirements</li><li>Support incentive application submissions, including paperwork and calculations</li><li>Support incentive program closeout, including screenshots, documentation, and post-installation data sharing with Parity's internal teams</li></ul>Installation Support<ul><li>Support installation team with IOT sensor installations, including on-site visits to client buildings</li><li>Perform verification of field conditions for the installation team prior to data points </li><li>Respond to simple service calls and conduct building visits as needed</li><li>Support Sean R. on select service-led projects (scope to be further defined)</li><li>Coordinate monthly equipment shipping to remote Building Intelligence Engineers (BIEs)</li><li>Support purchase order (PO) processing and related administrative paperwork</li><li>Support in-office inventory tracking</li></ul>WORK LOCATION:This position follows a hybrid work model, combining remote work, time in office, and on-site field work at client buildings.
