Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Finance Director and will be responsible in supporting all aspects of the Accounting and Financial Reporting functions of Brookfield Infrastructure Group's Corporate Advisor entity. The role will work with the Infrastructure Group’s private funds and will collaborate with other finance and investment professionals in the organization.ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable Process<ul><li>Review cost allocations and coding of invoices related to global deal costs, public company costs, Advisor costs and portfolio company costs</li><li>Monitor payment journals for Infrastructure paying entities and assist in investigation on invoice disputes and resolve billing and payment issues in a timely manner</li></ul>Accounts Receivable Process<ul><li>Oversee the monthly invoicing process</li><li>Utilize and monitor the Robotic Process Automation (“RPA”) bot for the monthly invoice process</li><li>Coordinate with the Infrastructure Group’s private funds team to ensure timely reimbursements</li></ul>Accounting Operations<ul><li>Take ownership of day-to-day recording of journal entries and bank reconciliations in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (“Dynamics”)</li><li>Oversee intercompany reconciliation, settlements and apply reimbursements at sub-ledger level by communicating with various Brookfield business groups</li><li>Identify opportunities for improvement and take ownership on implementing effective and efficient processes</li><li>Assist in various ad-hoc assignments requested by senior personnel and stakeholders</li></ul>Tax filing<ul><li>Prepare monthly HST return filing workbook</li><li>Compile information for annual corporate tax return and audit queries</li></ul>Quarterly Reporting<ul><li>Prepare financial results, reporting packages &amp; financial statements</li><li>Calculate and compile private fund management fees</li><li>Prepare fund flows and other various analyses and reports for senior management to support their business decision making</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>CPA designation completed with three - five years of experience working in a corporate accounting or audit firm, preferably in financial services or asset management</li><li>The ability to work in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to manage changing priorities and deadlines</li><li>Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)</li><li>Very strong attention to detail</li><li>Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines</li><li>Self-motivated, resourceful, and pro-active, with respect to both managing workload and professional development</li><li>Proficient in MS Office applications, with focus on Excel</li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 an asset</li></ul>Compensation Range: $95,000 - $110,000Position Opening Reason:New Position Brookfield is committed to maintaining a Positive Work Environment that is safe, respectful; our shared success depends on it.
