Repsol Renewables Services North America ("RRSNA") is targeting to own and operate 3-4 GW of renewable capacity in North America by 2027.RRSNA is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team and support the development, construction, operation, and optimization of utility-scale solar, wind, and battery energy storage projects across the United States.If you are passionate about working in a global, inclusive, and collaborative team to provide innovative and sustainable solutions for RRSNA and the communities we serve, we want to hear from you.This is a twelve (12) week program starting May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027, in Downtown Houston.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Support Electrical Engineering team members in the design, development, and execution of renewable energy projects.</li><li>Assist with the review of electrical drawings, specifications, and design packages for solar, wind, and battery energy storage facilities.</li><li>Perform engineering calculations and analysis related to power systems, electrical equipment, and renewable energy generation.</li><li>Assist in the development and review of single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, cable schedules, and electrical design documentation.</li><li>Support project teams in evaluating equipment such as inverters, transformers, switchgear, battery systems, and collection systems.</li><li>Analyze system performance data and assist with troubleshooting electrical and operational issues.</li><li>Participate in project design reviews and cross-functional engineering meetings.</li><li>Assist with commissioning, testing, and startup activities for renewable energy facilities when applicable.</li><li>Support construction and field engineering activities through site visits and technical assessments.</li><li>Maintain engineering records, drawings, reports, and project documentation.</li><li>Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project updates for management and project stakeholders.</li><li>Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and equipment manufacturers to support project objectives.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of a work/student visa.</li><li>Enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.</li><li>Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles, power systems, and renewable energy technologies.</li><li>Coursework in power systems, electrical machines, renewable energy, circuits, controls, or related disciplines preferred.</li><li>Experience with AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, PVSyst, MATLAB, or similar engineering software is a plus.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.</li><li>Ability to be self-motivated with strong attention to detail.</li><li>Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to excel in a multidisciplinary team environment as well as independently.</li><li>Exemplary standards of integrity, safety, ethics, quality, and productivity.</li></ul>Travel Requirements:<ul><li>Ability to travel periodically to project sites throughout the United States.</li><li>Willingness to spend multiple weeks at project sites as business needs require.</li><li>Ability to work in both office and field environments.</li></ul>Repsol is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/Disability/Veteran.
