The Engineer I role is designed for individuals who have recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering discipline and are eager to apply technical knowledge in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.</strong></p><p>This position provides hands-on experience supporting product development, manufacturing processes, quality initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, and operational excellence. Engineers will collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve problems, drive efficiencies, and contribute to projects that support ERMCO's mission of delivering reliable electrical solutions to customers across North America.</p><p>Opportunities may be available in various engineering disciplines, including:</p><ul> <li>Electrical Engineering</li> <li>Mechanical Engineering</li> <li>Industrial Engineering</li> <li>Manufacturing Engineering</li> <li>Quality Engineering</li> <li>Design Engineering</li> <li>Process Engineering</li> <li>Power Electronics</li> <li>Continuous Improvement Engineering</li> <li>Research &amp; Development</li> <li>Other Engineering Functions</li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><p></p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Support engineering projects, process improvements, and operational initiatives.</li> <li>Analyze technical data and provide recommendations to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency.</li> <li>Assist with the design, development, testing, and implementation of engineering solutions.</li> <li>Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.</li> <li>Collaborate with operations, quality, supply chain, maintenance, and other functional teams to solve technical challenges.</li> <li>Create and maintain engineering documentation, reports, work instructions, and technical specifications.</li> <li>Support product development, validation, and manufacturing process improvement activities.</li> <li>Participate in continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, or other problem-solving methodologies.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Present project findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.</li> <li>Demonstrate ERMCO's POWER Values in all aspects of work.</li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><h2>Qualifications</h2><p></p><h2>Minimum Qualifications</h2><ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.</li> <li>Degree concentration in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.</li> <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul><h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2><ul> <li>Internship, co-op, undergraduate research, graduate research, or project experience related to engineering or manufacturing.</li> <li>Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, process improvement, or quality systems.</li> <li>Experience with CAD, modeling, simulation, data analysis, or engineering software applicable to the discipline.</li> <li>Demonstrated leadership through academic projects, student organizations, internships, or community involvement.</li> <li>Interest in manufacturing, power distribution equipment, industrial operations, or product development.</li></ul><h2>Career Development Opportunities</h2><p>At ERMCO, early-career engineers gain exposure to real-world engineering challenges while working alongside experienced technical leaders.
