As Junior Legal Counsel you will be in the middle of them, with privacy and GDPR as your home base and everything from commercial contracts to corporate housekeeping around it. Our legal team built its own AI tool and is actively working out what it means for how legal works, and you will have a voice in that. <h3>The role </h3>As Junior Legal Counsel for Fastned in the Netherlands, you will support the legal team in managing Fastned's compliance and corporate affairs. This is a broad, generalist function with a particular focus on compliance topics, most notably GDPR/privacy and our general internal policies, combined with day-to-day corporate housekeeping tasks. As Junior Legal Counsel you will be based in our Amsterdam HQ and report to the Lead Legal NL, working productively and collaboratively with all your colleagues within Fastned. <h3>What you will do</h3><ul><li>Taking ownership of key compliance topics, with a particular focus on GDPR and privacy matters: maintaining and updating the Register of Processing Activities, reviewing Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), advising the business on privacy-by-design principles, conducting privacy assessments (LIAs and DPIAs), handling data subject requests, and supporting Third Party Risk assessments.</li><li>Maintaining, updating and rolling out Fastned's internal policies, while supporting awareness and training initiatives across the organisation.</li><li>Handling corporate housekeeping tasks, including preparing board and shareholder resolutions, powers of attorney, KvK filings and UBO registrations, maintaining corporate registers, and supporting signing and notarial processes.</li><li>Acting as a generalist legal counsel in support of the Dutch and wider European team: reviewing, drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts, including NDAs, services agreements, procurement agreements, and general terms and conditions.</li><li>Driving the optimisation and standardisation of legal processes, including the development of templates and playbooks, contract management, and DocuSign workflows.</li><li>Monitoring legislative and regulatory developments and providing timely input into relevant internal processes.</li></ul><h3>Our requirements</h3>We are looking for a colleague with an entrepreneurial mindset and good communication skills.
